How earliest the results of application of Visitor visa is being obtained for Vermont Center nowadays? It looks like it is taking almost 1 year according to USCIS website. Pls share if anyone has filed and obtained result recently.

The USCIS web site is not updated so for now you should not rely on it. It is taking somewhere between 3-5 months for an extension of visitor visas which may again change! If you have submitted on time for an extension then you are safe until you hear back from them!

Istamitra, When you say on time- what time frame do you mean before the I-94 expires?? It is said that it is good to file I-539 not earlier than 45 days or 60 days.

Like Istamitra said,it may take upto 3-5 mo's for the approval unless they ask for RFE. It will be approved even after 3-5 mo's, and as long as you've applied within the time frame (before I-94 expiration) you should be fine.
GoodLuck.

DMD,
Both your dad mom can file jointly in one application. i.e, $300 for both.
You can come up with any solid reason like pending travel plans or upcoming events or festival anything.

Biste Ji,
I called some law office, they told me that I have to send $300 for each person. I am confused if I should send USCIS $300 only or 2 checks of $300 each (total $600) for my mom and dad's extension. Have you gone through B1/B2 Visa extension process before? Please suggest me if you have any info.
I really appreciate you help.
Thanks

It is $300 for an application. No seperate application required for parents. SO $300 for 2. It is said that it is not good to apply for extension before 45 days as applying earlier than this will exhibit a tendency to stay in USA.
