Has anybody reapplied for F1 visa in Nepal while they were in OPT? I am working on my OPT right now, but I am planning to go to Nepal this winter. Since, my F1 visa has already expired, I will have to reapply for my visa. Has anybody experienced similar situation? Please share any thoughts.

Well My School ISO informed me to have valid F-1 Visa if I want to travel back in OPT. Once You enter US   Embassy to get renew expired Visa while You are on OPT, chances are high that they deny your VISA as you have already completed your study, for which you entered US. I have heard couple of cases of successful entry on OPT with Valid F-1 Visa.

Different people, different perspective; different people, different experience. If I were in your shoes, I would not dare trying what you are even talking about, especially at a time like this when country is having hard time feeding its own people.

Again, what do I know, that's just my perpective, you are your own judge....

GoodLuck, going back home is darn exciting..

I would say get admitted to a different school and obtain a new I 20 then you should be good to leave the country and also you can reapply for your f1 visa...
