Don't stay near Temple University area.It is the worst part of Philadelphia.Either stay in center city or university city whichever you can afford.

philly downtown is kinda expensive.. try craigslist.com to see if you can find a roomate.. and avoid.. north east philly at any cost.. that includes temple... as well
