if the last king of nepal was late king birendra( supposing that he is still alive), would he be dethroned aswell?

Its likely to assume that it would be real hard for parchandey to do so. As he had a good image.

Now moving to ex - king gyanendra,  not so good image, as most of us beleievd in the false rumours. personally i beleieve gyanendra is innocent. I would probably assume, it parchandey's master plan. As he was underground, and god knows what he was planning. we all know planned for more than 10 years to rule nepal, and on the way it might had been necessary to kill all the royal family members. and leave the not so good image member alive. so that blame would be on them.

If we look back at any history of invading, conquering (or whatever) a country, there was always something like this.

Parchandey follows marxism-leninsm. they both say that a country should not be run by a king. and that there should be revolution.

My uncle once told me that he saw plane crash in his village. And all of a sudden people started running. The first thing they did was sneak their hands in the pockets of the victims.

This shows that we are from such poor country, where people can ( not by wish) do such thing for money.

Anything is possible in nepal if one has money, power and a mastermind. let it be taking the king out!

so i think birendra would have been de throned as well.

ha ha... funny comments from you guys. Gyanendra may be innocent or may be not. Maoist might not be that successful against the government if Birendra was still alive hence monarchy might still be there or maybe they would and monarchy would or wouldn't be abolished. These issues are old and obsolete. So, do not deserve our time for discussions any more i guess. Let's move forward and try to shape our current politics fair and democratic and help establish "for the people" government, Mr. There Alone.

I don't like Gyanendra, and it is good that he is gone. But I personally believe he is innocent of murders. I think it is irony that the real murderers -of 13K people- are now in power, accusing Gyane of murdering his family members.

Well, in any case, dude, Gyanendra is now in jungle, and it is good for him. He should have done things differently. Moola Africa ghumna jado raichha plane liera, especially when he himself had such a bad image...

how guys, what a comment
specially pire, u make good point, "u don't like gyanendra coz he went to africa"!!!!!!

its not ur fault dude. we all were influenced directly or indirectly by indian media at that time coz they were the one who brought this issue to the public and point out gyanendra. from then onward, we think he is behind this culprit.

we blame gyanendra for everyting which he may/may not have done. look at now, we don't even respect Prithivi Narayan Saha and we now think PRACHANDE is better thant PN shah?????

What a shame

"binasa kale biparit buddhi" bhaneko yehi ho.

aafno history lai ta respect garna nasakne jada haru le naya nepal banaune ani hamile sukha paune, eeeee khaa nepali bheda haru

ek@l,
Try to respect the intelligence of other people also. Do you think I make my views on Gyanendra based on Indian media? I mean he was a dick, his son was a jerk, and it is good that they are gone. Of course, I think now we must protect them, because he acted with utmost grace at the moment of his exit, especially Gyanendra. By choosing to stay in Nepal, he chose to trust the very terrorists and their goons for his safety. For a person like me who lives in a foreign country, Gyanendra passed an ultimate test: he chose to live in Nepal even if that meant living in the shadow of terrorists. And I am sure that he did so because he loved the country of his birth.

There is no point talking about how he ran the country. He was a jerk. The biggest fool I ever saw. He had no plan, and he was arrogant about his influence. His supporters were KTM based sycophants who has leeched the country since centuries, and they were not able to withstand the pressure of popular uprisings. People may dislike the politicians of bahudal--but there is no denying of the fact that they are the least disliked people.

Personally, I think the country at present has a lot of challenge, but the Maoists will screw the country for a few more years, and then lose the election spectacularly. I don't know what happens after that. Will there be a see saw between them and others? I don't know. I, however, think that Nepal is going to make a lot of progress. The reason is, whatever their fault might be, the NC, the UML, the Maoists, they don't oppose development, and they have incentive to show something new. People, as it is pretty clear to me, don't vote based on development, or Al Gore, CB Naidu or even NC wouldn't have lost. They look at the leaders, how amicable or abrasive they are, and based on that they vote. They sometimes may want change, sometimes they may not want.

i respect the views of people, pire. don't get me wrong.

u've ur own perception so do i.  and like everybody else, i do understand sth, about nepalese politics and based on my personal analysis, gyanendra is not that bad than we think. his motive was clear but he was surrounded by bad people. i know he made few mistakes such as; he didn't talk to political parties and hold all the power as a chairman of cabinet.

and paras, a son of a wealthy and powerful father................every single person at that point may do some   irresponsible crap knowlingly or unknowlingly.

Pashupatinath le rakchya garun nepal ko !

Sure, Ekal. We can have differing views.

BUT

We agree that our country will be continued to be blessed by lord Pashupatinath.

If last twenty years have shown anything, it is that Nepali people can survive and prosper in even the most direst of circumstances. I now look around my city in Nepal and in America, and can only think about the great future that it portends. We will rise-whether because of or despite--the politicians or kings. The indomitable spirit of Nepali people is independent of political suppression, and we will rise.
