I was always wondering why the girls used to close their eyes while kissing? You might have seen pictures of celebrity kiss or from your own experience, but most of the time girls closes their eyes while kissing.

I was so amazed to read that almost 80% of the time girl closes their eye while kissing.

I can think of one reason - GIRLS CANNOT SEE A MAN HAPPY.

kinda awkward don't you think to be staring at your partner's face unless you wanna creep them out!

I guess you are better than newspaper lol well it is true that most of da pple close their eyes while kissing. i too close my eyes while kissing my gf. and my gf too close her eyes. i knew it cuz i sometime open my eyes while kissing to check whether my gf eyes are closed or not. :D

Maybe it's a kissing etiquette that many people are not aware of? I used to do both (depending on how bad the wind chill was) ;)

i kissed my gal with my eyes wide open then she too opened her eyes and whispered badmash ketaand bite my lips. After that i understood.

My husband and I also close our eyes when we kiss. There could be more than one reason for that.

First, the eye lids would automatically close to shield the eye when anyhing is brought physically too close to it. A sort of inbuilt bio-protection system. But of course one can intentionally continue to keep the eyes open. But when you do that with something at a very close range for a specified period of time, the retina cannot focus. Hence, the eyelid shuts down for the comfort of the eye.

Secondly, sight is one of the five human senses. The remaining four being...touch, taste, hear and smell. When any one of these senses or all of these senses are "closed" from receiving, it automatically heightens and enhances other nerve endings. Try this....place both thumbs against the little protrusion in front of your ear and close the sense of hearing. Next, use both index fingers to hold down the eyelids. Use both middle fingers to seal your nostrils. Use both ring fingers and little fingers to seal upper and lower lips together. Do this gently and observe how your body reacts.

Kissing excites the nerves in your tongue and lips, provided you remain in that region. By closing your eyes, you are reducing the functions of the other senses and increasing the flow of hormones within your brain. That creates a sense of sensual pleasure and excitement and physical satisfaction. It heightens the feeling of love as it becomes an expression of your feelings towards your beloved partner.

It is definitely rude to widely open your eyes while kissing.. that is the first rule of how to kiss a girl properly.

agree with Heartbeat. btw, are you guys talking about "French kissing" only? i think close-your-eyes rule is equally applicable while kissing (or sucking or licking or eating or whatever) other parts of body especially for female doing on female or male partner.

I think it helps them imagine that they are with brad pitt or someone better than the ones that their oral connection is actually connecting them with.

I like it better with eyes open. I can always fantasize about others when I done with enjoying the real stuff.
