Thats not pound it is in 100 million euros.

but still is too much for anybody.........When people are trying hard to pay their bills, mortgages, education these players are getting too much just for kicking round ball....I am sure Kaka will also admit that nobody is worth that much of money.

Football is now business . Rich owner wants to have every good players in his club. But I hope manchester city will grow like chelsea having a rich owner.

Kaka had a good year in 2007 but now FIFA has ranked him in 4th place . I would considered in bringing Messi , Benzema , Cassilas and David Villa than spending that much for Kaka . Kaka is a average player now and it will be hard for him to settle in EPL than series A.

That is just a overwhelming price for a player and I think it is definitely not a wise move. I totally agree with gedagudi. Thats what I would do.

Hey no_quiero, it is 100million "POUND" (NOT EURO). Infact the bid has now raised to £107 million (€120 million).

The Goal.com 50: The 50 Greatest Players Of 2008

The results are in... after weeks of analyzing, debating, not to mention the odd sword-fight, we at Goal.com came up with a definitive list of the 50 greatest performers of the past year!

Welcome to Goal.com's greatest players of 2008 - the Goal.com 50! It's the definitive list of the 50 players who performed the best in the past year. Only one more to go...

Methodology
A team of 25 Goal.com reporters representing leagues from: England's Premier to Spain's Liga; Italy's Series to Turkey's Super; Argentina's Apertura to Australia's A-League and beyond, all cracked our fingers, scratched our skulls, and banged our heads against brick walls devising a selection of stand-out performers deemed worthy of our votes.

Each journalist then went away and ranked the shortlist of 75 players in order of whom they believe were more deserving of the moniker: "Greatest player of 2008." Individual performances were noted from January to December 2008, as was team contribution, together with prizes and accolades awarded. The final lists were cut off at 50.

Once the results were in, the data was collated by adding together all of each footballer's corresponding ranks. So for example, if Ashley Young was positioned at 38 on one reporter's list, and ranked 49 on another, his total for the two would be 87.

However, if a player was completely omitted from a received shortlist, then he would be assigned penalty points. The winner, therefore, is the player who had the lowest overall score.

Kaka lies in place after Gerrard, Rooney , Torres and Ronaldo in EPL . Its ridiculous that he is not worth that much and Robinho was not worth  that much either .

Manchester City Now Offering €271m For Kaka

The Citizens are exploring uncharted financial territory in their pursuit of the Rossoneri's playmaking genius.

According to The Sun, Britain's favorite rumor-mill, Manchester City's bid for AC Milan superstar Kaka now totals a staggering €271 million (£243 million).

It was initially reported that the Sky Blues had offered the Rossoneri around €100 million, with a further €82 million reserved for the Brazilian international's wages.

However, as things stand, the Premier League club's proposal weighs in at €120 million each for the transfer fee and Kaka's pay, with the extra €31 million going to brokers, agents, et al.

It is an astonishing sum of money, and one that clearly separates City - backed Sheikh Mansour of Abu Dhabi - from Europe's other spending powers.

And with negotiations now in full swing, it wouldn't be entirely surprising if Milan accepted such an overwhelming offer - although it remains to be seen whether Kaka himself can be tempted away from San Siro.

That's too much money for any soccer player, they should start putting cap on salary..and other money should put back into promoting game, promoting younger players, trainings for disadvantaged people..more money into poor country to create more football grounds..

I think they good players but not the best..

I think Gerard,Messi,Xavi,Zidane,Ronaldino, Roberto carlos,Xavi,Maradonna,C.Ronaldo are the best player they worth more then KAKA ROBINHO and BECKHAM...

( I know some of them arent' good as before..but i think they were the best players at that time)

Its not easy for any players coming from other league to do well in EPL. Its totally different than other league. Players like Shevchenko, Ballack have failed to make impact just because EPL is completey different. You need players of different mould to fit the EPL. I do not rate Rooney or Lampard as the best players in world but they fit the way EPL works. So, all these undermines if KAKA can be a success in EPL. I do not have doubt in him but I have doubt if he can fit in EPL.

£ 100 Million  for KAKA... Its a joke. ManCity boss got a lot a money, but that doesnot mean they go on spending whatever they like on anyone. He is definately a £ 100 Million player  plus the administrative cost around £ 35 Million. Its rediculious.

You can get almost a whole team or even buy a premiership club for that amount. Is KaKa expensive than West Ham United? West Ham was sold at £ 85 Million three seasons ago. There are 9 Premier club trying to sell themselves .... most of them cost less than 100 Million.

My bottom line.... introduction of Salary Cap in Premier League. UEFA have to look at this matter and regulate the amount any club is paying any players.

He is an absolutely good player.... as good as Ronaldo is... but not as good as Messi

But there is absolutely no way he is worth 100 million no player is... Not even Messi..

Don;t know what the Massives are upto...

Expect the gas price to hike if he is bought with that amount..

Report: Kaka Signs For Manchester City, But...

According to a website in the Middle East, Manchester City have completed the signing of Milan superstar Kaka. But the article was quickly taken down.

Kaka has been linked with the richest club in the world for several months now, but the speculation of a possible move really began to heat up earlier this week.

"Arabian Business" claimed this morning on their website, arabianbusiness.com, that a deal had been sealed, which will see Manchester City pay Milan around

€112 million, while Kaka will earn

€380,000 per week.

However, within hours the report was removed from the website.

If true, the move would smash Zinedine Zidane's transfer fee record from 2001 when he moved to Real Madrid from Juventus for

€76m. Kaka also would become the highest paid player in football history.

Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour is said to have told friends at 1500 CET that Kaka has signed for Manchester City, although there has been no official confirmation from the club, or from Milan for that matter.

Mansour took over the reigns at Eastlands in September, but he funded the €37m signing of Kaka's Brazilian compatriot Robinho on August 31 summer deadline day.

The Press Association claims that sources within Manchester City have denied that a deal has been done, although no official statement has been made.

The man shitty owner are worth hundreds of billions..yes BILLIONS, not millions. They want to make a "statement of intent" according to them. They could spend 100ml. on kaka and still have hundreds of millions to spend on other players. If kaka does sign for shitty, he will have a get-out clause in his contract which states that if city don't qualify for the champions league in the next 2 years then he can walk out to other teams. I, personally, like every other people(except city fans) am pretty confident that city wont qualify for the Cl inthe next 2 years and kaka will leave for another club.
Wouldn't it be ironic if kaka signs and then in his 1st game suffers a long term injury. Now that would be funny(i hope he doesn't). And i would soo love to see shity get relegated so that we(Chelsea) can get him easily.
