My parents are taking the indian airlines flight from Delhi to US. Do you all have any experience to share so that I have tell them what they can expect. They are elderly couple, I just want them to have a pleasant journey. Heard that some airport officials can create havoc to naive passengers. Please shrare. thanks.

you don't need to worry.just ask your parents to stay in the transit means say them not pass the delhi immigration just ask the airlines people that they are on the way to usa and the airlines people will take them to the transit point they have to stay there till the flight time. one more thing that the airline people will take the passport for the boarding pass later on they bring back we also have to give them address of place where we are going to.and we also need to identify for our baggage over there for new tag in delhi eventhough its through check to usa.and ask ur parents to have security label on all there hand carry in delhi airport.and you be ready to pick up ur parents at usa airport.

I agree with friend Bhariya. I had a flight from Delhi to USA a couple of years ago. It was safe and secure. You don't have to worry about your parents. They will be fine. Just tell them to ask the airport staffs if they have any question and problem. One more thing, it's better if they carry a couple of hundred Indian Currency incase if they would like to make phone call or buy something to eat in the airport. It's a plus point if they could speak hindi to the airport people.

Best option is wheel chair. Last year my mother had to travel from Nepal to U.S., I opted for wheel chair since the person pushing the wheel chair will do everything from Gate(airport) to all the necessary papers. But while purchasing the ticket, you need to tell them they need wheel chair. Just a suggestion !!!!!!

Do they acutually keep possession of your passport and boarding pass while on transit?
