There are speculations that GM going bankrupt. Now it's shares trading for 1.08 (tomorrow when market opens). Is it a smart idea to spend 1000 dollars on it? Thinking it might get rebound so I can make some money.

 

Suggestions appreciated

 

Dikush brother,If you do not find any difference between Casino and Stock, then you should try betting on GM..if not there are so many undervalued stocks with enticing P/E and EPS..

NO. Once GM files bankrupcy, all stock worth less than penny or 0.1. Because Bankrupcy gives leverage to protection from debter that mean all publicly traded stock as well. I had wasted thousands like that. Now I realized, that's stupidity. So, my suggestion, DO NOT BUY.

Chicago is right. GM stock won't be worth a penny after it files for bankruptcy (which it is going to)

Obviously it was good for you. If you can make money like that you don't have to go to work man. Just stay home and do stock trade.

Database is damn right; it's like going to Casino if you would have bought GM shares. Casino ma ekchhin fun ta hunchha and every draw ma alikati aasha ta hunchha ni bhagya udauchha ki bhanne; yo GM ko share kinnu bhaneko ta sidhai khahare khola ma phal halnu jastai ho; no hopes.

you are right...if i can make 5k every two week i dont have to work..but thats not always true..i wish though..
it is luck sometime...sometime it is a good judgement by a good research..
ok how did i make 5K?
i bought 5000 share of CTIC on april 30 @ $0.40 and sold @ $1.41 on may 12, 
Gain = $5050 - $20 comission (buy and sell) = $5030
that was the biggest gain so far in my trading history..
now after that there was VNDA  (on may 6th), i missed that..damn..
VNDA is now selling at $14,, before May 6 it was $1.08.....can u imagine?

now i am waiting for HEB (bought 5000 share @ $0.85)
i have already 100% profit as of today..but i m waiting for the good news next week..
i m taking risk,, because even if ampligen doest
get approve i wont lose my capital...
i will lost little bit from my profit..from CTIC...


bottom line is you need to have good exit strategy and extensive research..

now a days BIOTECH is a good stock to buy..

I think you should not have sold CTIC.
I guess once FDA approval is over, it will reach between $20-$25.

i am waiting for HEB's approval next week..then i can come back and catch up CTIC..

thats my plan..

actually CTIC stayed there at $1.25 for more than two weeks..it just got better today..

my guess is they have paper presentation next week...and based on that the price went up..there is nothing on FDA's list for coming few weeks for CTIC's product...

so..

Guys, I was going to buy some GM stocks before it went to bankruptcy, you 'smart' people suggested not to buy it. Look what happened today, the day it announced bankruptcy price went up to $0.11 cents.

Are you serious? You are blaming other people for not buying GM stocks? You were going to buy at the open on 5/29. GM opened at 1.07 that day and if you had bought it you would have lost money even with the 10% rally today. What we are seeing is short covering on the stock.....it is worth 0. This morning it was at 27c which would have been about 80% loss from your buy price.

Now it is up from  $.50 to  $.86 , did you bought on that price ?

Any body has any web page that give you the price of all stocks ? Which site you use to monitor stock price? The best one?

Instead of tempting for GM,do some research and go for stock with nice P/E and EPS..

GM worth ZERO..Wait couple of days more and you will realize..
