nope !!!

they are two different genera ,

cherry belongs to genus Prunus from family Rosaceae and kafal( box myrtle) to genus Myrica.

In nepal ppl also refer Kimbu(mulberry) as kafal too, which is different than the proper kafal we are talking about.

I never heard of people saying kafal to kimbu. But anyways, are are pictures. First is kafal second is kimbu and third is cherry.

If I'm not wrong, raspberries are aiselu. If other person know better, correct me, if I'm wrong. It is different from kimbu, though they are same family fruit.

raspberry is aisalu, thats true,, kimbu, kafal and cherry are different.. maile pani cherry ko dherai prayas gare patta lagauna .. finally sure ta chaina tara it is the one we get in paiyou ( paiyou) hami nepal ma bisesh gari biha ma lingo banauna use garcham.. tesko fall i have tried once.. nepal ma teti thulo hudaina tara plant, leaf ra fruit herda either its the same or from the same family.. tara sorry still i dont know nepal ma paiyou ko fruit lai k bhanchan..

raspberry and cherry are from the same family Rosaceae ,

and JayNir you are right, Paiyuu is called Wild Himalayan Cherry ,
