Does any one knows about statistical figure on how many Nepali or Nepali speaking people do we have here in 50 states of USA and different provinces of Canada... If I can get Demographics figure with geographical location that will be even better. I will appreciate if you can advice me about the data or where I can get that data. Thank you....

I dont know about Canada but according to US Embassy in Kathmandu, they have issued more than 190,000 VISA including tourist, student, business e.t.c to Nepalese citizen till 2007. This figure does not include DV Lottery winner and Nepalese who got visa from other countries. From that number, I am assuming that atleast 70% should have stayed here in USA.

Thank you balbahadur: It looks like we don't have any kind of statistics about Nepali in USA... I tried to go through US Bureau of Statistics and it seems they didn't distinct Nepali in their Asia and Pacific Islander group... Lets hope if some other people knows any other source... Thanks.
