Any idea about application, acceptance or rejection of security clearance? 

All I know is that application is not for foreigners.

Foreigners can also get SECURITY CLEARANCE!!

I dont think that there is a hard and fast rule on foreigners cannot get security clearance. But it certainly is more difficult for a foreigner to get one. I plan to apply for that in near future because there seems to be a huge pay raise with security clearance. Let us know if you find out more.

geda_gudi, I am foreigner in a major clearance demanding industry and what you said is news to me.  Can you please try to get the specifics on the process he went through?  It will be a great boon to my career.  Are you sure he is a foreigner and not a refugee or asylum seeker?

Thats where shit hits the fan.  Major defense contractors and government require citizens.  LAA is too much to ask on a job interview with a masters degree and five years experience.  If your friend went via LAA he must be really really sought after.
