I can't understand why some nepalese are so racist..Why they have such an anti indian sentiments and it is mixed with patriotism...and Plz stop blaming others for ya own problem in the country

If vice  president or who so ever wants to speak or take oath in hindi..why object...if he belives so it is his mother tongue..

Each citizen has right to express opinion and communicate on whatever language they choose to.

I think nepal has already  lost the tag of cultural and religious tolerance...and this is democracy...no matter how much it sucks..every1 has right to speak on whatever language they want..

I don't think the Vice President's mother language is Hindi. It is probably Maithali. If he had used his mother tongue it would have been less of an issue but he chose to use Indian Language sponsored by India for one cause, that is to undermine our own Nepalese integrity, cultural harmony, and stability. It benefits India to have unstable and chaoitic neighbour who will always depend on Indian pity than have a self sustained neighbour who may decide for its own with its own ability that could be challanging for India's interests ( Eg Chinese Dominance in Nepali Politics)

So salute to all of you who want to keep/practice/admire/glorify their own culture/identity/language being a NEPALI and only Nepali and F$%K all the Indian Dalals who are promoting Indian proponganda in the name of calling Hindi Language their mother tounge in Nepal.

Taking oath in hindi is NOT just a language issue, it is much deeper than that. Lets think about why  India's declared enemies are its neighbors? Why there are rumors that India and China will fight by the end of 2012?
India had eyed Nepal since Nehru's rule. Every aspect of Nepali polity is influenced by India now-a-days, why? Why is India financing armed groups with "break-away" Terai agenda, giving them security and support?  Why was there report in an Indian TV that India is in final stages to ussurp Terai? Why are the armed groups who are financed and secured by India issue press statements from India and warn all "pahadis" to leave terai or else? Why do these same groups issue press statements to burn Nepali daura surawal and flag??
The VP oath issue is not just language or a racial issue it is much deeper than that; that's why people are objecting to it!!

Nothing much to say to Ji_Newah. I know newari perhaps more than you do. But I think Nepali should be made as a common language and everyone wanting to be in a National government and the parliament MUST take oath in Nepali. In case of Nepal, if they can't understand Nepali, they can't understand the problems of Nepalese. This VP is a shame to the nation. I really hate this bastard.

ji niwah dhoti, talai kun dhoti le bhanyo nepal ma jun language maan lghca tehi bolna paicha bhanera sale dhotiko dalal......nepalko constitution ma prasta lekheko cha ki that they have to take oath in national nepali language and who the hell is f**king vp to change the system......dhoti ko paisa ma bikera uniharuko isarama j maan laghyo tyo garna milcha...ani deshbhakti nepali le tesko birodh garda racist huyincha bhatmaara....they got right to protest and right to save and respect the language......also nepalko kunai pani district or areama hindi kasaiko regional language chaina ani its different that they understand it so simply...but nationality is respectful and there are certain places that the national language needs to be given some importance...and hell, stop saying others racist..y dun u get some knowledge too.

What if a student answer English Paper questions in Nepali correctly. What if student answer Nepali Questions in Hindi ,

There should be a rules to be followed to everyone. Why won't the leader like VP won't follow. Rather we can discuss or table and can make a law of Nepali + Hindi + English Or else eligable as an Official Langue until then it must be regarded illegal.

I believe as a VP of Nepal and also key representative of all Nepalese citizen and he ought to learn to use or only use Nepali in all important rally/presentation/speech regardless of what his mother tongue is. If you do not understand the national language how can you as a leader connect to your own people let alone lead your people. Haizzzz

You dont find a Chinese PM using teochew/hokkien/cantonese to reach to his people when giving speeches right just because its his mother tongue!

Once I was in Dharara ; one indian fellow who has been dwelling Kathmandu over 10 years suggested somebody regarding NOSE. What it is , it is, who the hell he is to suggest NEWARI word.

My friend who is the original newa was pissed off, had no choice other than this. Pointing to his nose, I will say NAKU,  in Nepali it is NAK, do you agree? His mouth was shut.  It is the same thing to us, it is too much for us. If he had used his mother language we would not have any problem. It is just a Political agenda he is using to make INDIA happy and we are unhappy about it. Can't we be unhappy and express our view?
