A quick question ?

Can a person with RN (Intermediate level) nursing from CTEVT take NCLEX exam and work in USA ?

or go to school for BS without taking much pre-requisite courses.

Thanks,

oh course she can take NCLEX exam and if passed she will be a RN & can work as a RN in Hospital and Nursing Home. To be eligible to sit in a NCLEX exam first of all CGFNS will evaluate her Nursing credential after that you have to apply the particular Nursing Borad (generally the state board of Nursing where you reside) after state board approve the applicant to eligible for taking the NCLEX the exam than you have to fix the date from the pearson vue of particular date. If you pass this test then you will be a RN. If you have a GC then you can start your JOB rightaway otherwise just wait for the workpermit to open...since the work permit hasn't opened for many years bcoz of Nursing Retrogression.

Thanks let me know if you need further assistance.

Let me add something to Bimala's answer. There are few states that allow you to take nclex directly with Nepal's RN certificate. Other states require you to take CGFNS exam first so look for the states that do not require cgnfs exam and make you eligible to sit for NCLEX exam with your Nepal's RN credential. I have some such states that do not require cgfns exam like New Mexico, Nevada, North Carolina, New York etc. There are more but I don't remember now. You can google for more information.

Well shere ji le vannu vayeko kura thikai,
tara yaha k bujna jaruri cha vane....CGFNS ma credential evaluation ko lagi apply garne ho. CGFNS qualify test line chai Visa screnning ko lagi so. so to be egilible to take NCLEX exam CGFNS test linu pardaina.....just Credential Evaluation Gare huncha. yes, in some state i guess in NY even we don't have to apply to CGFNS for credential evaluation but NY will do the credential evaluation itself and later authorize to take test if you are eligible. But, i will suggest to apply CGFNS so that you are free to apply everywhere around US Nursing Board.

Any question let me know here.

Let me be clear here. The states I mentioned above do CGFNS evaluation based on your Nepal's qualification and if you are eligible then you can appear on NCLEX exam but some states like Nebraska, Iowa do require you to appear for CGFNS exam no matter what qualification you have in Nepal. I mean they do not allow you to appear for NCLEX exam based on Nepal's qualification, you must compulsorily appear for their(state's) CGFNS exam.

Hello Bimala ji,

I am a certified nurse from (CTEVT). Now a days i live in Virginia and  taking class in Community College. I am planning to take NCLEX test but i don't know the process. Different people have different thought. So it's hard to believe someone opinion. However, i have noticed that we all have to register in CGFNS. Please advise me here what is the process in order to take NCLEX test. I have heard there are two board for NCLEX test one is California Board and another is New York Board. Have you noticed that which one is applicabe for Nepalese? Preferable one? Easiest one? If you could manage your time, could you plz jot down few words? I would be really appreciate.

Thanks.
