Dear Friends, I have been trying to insert text in my pictures in Nikon D90 but for some reason I have not been able to get that done successfully. I read the manual and it was not too helpful plus internet research did not help either. So, I am asking for help with the experienced users. All help much appreciated. Could you please let me know the steps for text insertion in the pictures in camera? Thankyou.

sojhoboy, BTW, are you talking about text entry in naming picture control or plain text on pictures?> if u have set your custom setting banks, and there are two or more with one for your d-movie setting in that camera, that might be the reason why u are not getting options for text insertion. i quickly upgraded so i dont have the 90 now, but have you tried taking out to a local camera store, or try asking an expert where you bought the camera from. B&H in NewYork's people can help u too.

For Image Comments; Go to MENU>SETUP MENU>IMAGE COMMENT Then press “Input comment” and write the comment. After doing that, press “Attach Comment” and when its selected, press “Done” // This turns on the “Image Comment” Now to view the comment, if you’re using the bundled software (Capture Nx2) you’ll find the comment in the info section along with all the details for the picture. If you want to see the comments in the within the camera, then you have to first turn on the “display mode”. For that; Go to MENU>PLAYBACK MENU>DISPLAY MODE Select “Data” and press “Done” //This turns on the “Display Mode” To actually view the comments, just press the “down” button while viewing the picture and you’ll find the comments on the third page. Hope this clears your confusion. Peace….

That's a watermark logo. There are tons of videos in YouTube about how to insert watermark in photoshop and other software. If you don't have access to photoshop, you can find other software that automates the watermarking process. If you're using photoshop, Russel Brown's website is pretty good for tutorials about how to watermark images. Here's the link; http://www.russellbrown.com/tips_tech.html Otherwise, google around for other software. I just found this site (says its free!!). Peace.....
