There is another one in San Fransisco called "Travel De Society" and I
would not recommend it. Seems like they are a little
clueless/un-experienced when it comes booking tickets. They just wont
follow the instructions given to them. When I booked the ticket, I
specifically asked them to make sure the ticket was a single ticket and
not just multiple tickets (with multiple reservation numbers combined),
because I wanted my baggage to get checked in once only. Nope they gave
me a ticket with 3 different reservation numbers and upon telling them
this was not a single ticket, they gave me a full assurance it was.
Turns out it was not and only after some pleading at the the check-in
did the airlines agree to check it in all the way upto KTM.
Tips: Now a days you can purchase tickets online yourself at decent
price. I actually found some nice deals in cheaptickets.com a few
months back. Plus I know friends who bought tickets directly from
cathay pacific at the same price some of those travel agents were
offering. Travel agents are no longer the same travel agents they used
to be. They look up the tickets online just as we do now. Sometimes
they take the same ticket that you could buy for cheaper online and
slap some processing fee and sell it for a little more. So just make
sure you are not overpaying for something you could have done yourself.
Happy Travelling.
