I need your suggestion. I am in H-1B visa with genuine job . I just got married and my wife went through H-4 visa interview. However, consular told her that the process in  incomplete. He returned her passport too with a white paper containing some info saying it they would call within 2 months. I am I dilemma. Has anybody gone through same situation or not. Please drop you opinion.

Are you already in US and your wife went for h4 stamping alone? If it is, then can you please let me know whether a copy of our h1b approval notice is good enough? B'coz i am here in US and my wife is planning to go for interview very soon. I don't think i should send my original h1b notice. Can you please tell me your experience.

I found this in murthy.com, it might help you.

Did she carry your I-797, Employment Verification Letter, Pay Stubs, Wedding Album with close ups during interview? That should be it.

If other than that i guess, they will send some query to your employer, and issue visa later.

I had everything during the interview that you mentioned above. Consular was so  reluctant to talk to her and didn't even mentioned what is missing or what further evidence are req'd.. my bad

In my wife's case;

Copy of I797 worked fine ...
I send following related to Company
Appointment letter,
Employment verification letter,
Pay checks,
Company brochure,
Few photographs of mine taken in company,
All docs submitted while applying H1B (I129, ...)

Question she was asked were:
1) Company Name?
2) Date of marriage?
3) How do we meet?

I was lucky for the first time that she got visa and she is here with me in USA.
