the whole world is divided into two groups:
1. Thank God he died.
2. Oh my God he's dead?

i belong to the 1st one. Apparently lotta people don't wanna talk about his wrongs just because of the fact that he is dead and people only wanna talk good about him. If we really wanna be fair we should talk about both good and bad....
I acknowledge his good deeds specially last decade of his life but the irony is...he could have avoided that and avoided Nepal from going thru half of the shit it is going thru right now.

Only thing i am not happy about is..he being the aafai boksi aafai jhaakri.
Besides I don't have anything personal with anybody who thinks girija is god or the greatest leader of nepal or girija as a person. My condolenses to him is just as a old guy who just died not as a great leader of Nepal. He was far from that. If we consider him the great leader... what future generation gonna learn. Do as much wrong in the beginning and just before you die.. try to fix it and you'll become a great leader? No way.

oc101 you are mistaken. I am not able to express my opinion because of Girija or the so called democracy you are talking about. I am able to express it because... nobody has power over internet.

Even today if you say things againsts powers and people who have direct and indirect power... they can harm you. regardless what the actual points on democracy is, about freedom of speech.

if 300 school students can be arrested for bunking school and going to disco... even though there was no law againsts bunking school or going to disco. what kind of democracy you are talking about???

I really believe you don't know what democracy is. sorry if i hurt your feelings. but you don't know.

When people are not in power they can rebel in the name of peoples right. The leaders should be evaluated on the basis of what they do when they are in power.

If Girija wanted to make difference in Nepal, he could definitely contribute alot in many sectors (because he was in the power directly or indirectly last 20 years). What did he do when he came in power?

If a person can show dedication toward people and country when he comes in power, he is definitely a hero. In my evaluation there is nobody in Nepal who showed dedication toward the people and country when they are/were in power. Kings, Maoists, UML, Girija and his company -no body did any good to the country and people when they are/were in power. All are taking care of their own family just like Girija did for his daughter.

Definitely, Girija was not a good person (like all other leaders in Nepal).

In my opionion, Girija is very very responsible for the current instability in our country.

Lets go back to history.

Congress won with majority in 1991. Guys name a single good he did to the country. But he got involved in all the kandas ( tanakpur, dhamija, etc..) made his daughter richer by millions.

This guy stupedly called midterm election in 1994. Nepal lost political stability since then.

In summary, he is responsible for the political instability in the country, birth of maoist, and current brain drain.

Guys name a single good thing he has done to the country. And please dont give me the crap that he brokered in peace deal with Maoist.
