Mexico has been ravaged by the drug war. The death is reaching ridiculous levels and the death rate is extremely high. Hundreds per month (or maybe thousands).
Nepal was ravaged by the civil war and it is still brewing. yet for some reason, I feel the drug war in Mexico has not reached a plateau.
Everyday I read news like this:
the main reason Mexico has the drug problem in the first place is because US has high profit margins and the drug cartels have a lot to gain and less to lose. Life hence is not worth much there.
My forum question is rather trollish but I feel Mexico has been haunted and it will take decades until they can fix this. Primarily because the problem goes beyond their own control as well since the drugs mostly go north.
Nepal has her own problems yet the extent is under her control. The government and the people have at least some say in the problem.
My 2 cents.
