i have been watching cricket since pakistan win the world cup at 1992. My dad use to watch cricket in dordarshan and i that time i didn't even know about cricket. i saw some people with white uniform playing. I used to watch oneday and thought that was real cricket. later i realise that test cricket is the real thing. i became hardcore cricket fan of test and i love test cricket . me and my friend use to watch it and talk about it all the time. Time changes t20 is here even one day is slow now. i never thought t20 will be big but i think i was wrong , these days its all about t20. i am not big fan of t20 but i am watching test cricket right now between india vs australia. i am suprised that its me who use to be a hardcore fan of test cricket is finding that it is slow now , does that mean real cricket is dead??? or its just me??

damn, i just logged in to comment on this thread. i started watching cricket during 90s. i watched the world cup when sri lanka won in 96 ..(indian fans during the semi final lol..what the ffk?) ...after the world cup i would always keep interest whenever big teams like west indies, india, Aus and SA would play cricket series which was shown by star sports. nowdays, i dont even know which players are still left. yes test cricket = real cricket for my generation best batsmen = sachin, jayasuriya, lara, knight, smith, campbell best bowler = akram, mcgrath, younis, donald best fielder = rhodes let the world cup begine this february and my interest will start again

Feel sorry for the great game played over centuries. Such a beautiful game, is dying. I still love the art of swing bowling, the tireless defense from batsman, marathon spell by spinners, the field setting... that is what I call cricket..... Every punter down the road can hit the deck hard while bowling.... but not many can swing the ball..... every jack ass can hit a six, but it takes long dedication and commitment to defend all day and hope to win that is the real cricket for me.... The best cricketers in the gone by era.... Tendulkar, Ponting, Lara, Kallis, Waqar, Younis, M.Yusuf, Warney, Murli, Dravid, Sharwan The future is not doom either..... Raina, Malinga, Dilshan, Swann, M.Ameer, Watson, Ryder, Morgan

In recent days have not been able to follow cricket. However, since 1987 world cup jointed hosted by Indian and Pakistan, cricket has been my cup of tea and my interest is sure of test and ODI's. T20 could be romantic and full of drama yet the classic love is of test and ODI, at least for my self. My generation best bowlers: W. Akram, A. Donald, C. Walsh, I. Khan, A. Kumble, M. Muralitharan My generation bet batsmans: S. Tendulkar, B. Lara, R. Dravid, S. Afridi, A. Gilchrist. Best fielder: Jonty Rhodes.

I don't see cricket as any interesting game, the game itself is weird. and Now a days its all fixed, they play for money corrupt people. When people from India, Pakistan are involved, white people always play with their mentality, cricket has proved it once again. People from India and Pakistan are so creative they can make mess out of everything.
