i have dell inspiron. got it for 700 bucks. 4GB ram and 64-bit , 2.13 GHz processor.
i always have this laptop crashed. almost twice a day. this mostly happens when i watch online videos (for a length of time say more than 20 mins, be it netflix or youtube). watching DVDs are OK. Also if i run some code/program that needs quite a bit of computer resources, it crashes and gives out colored screen. color widely varies.
it not that i browse bad sites. i keep the anti virus/spyware pretty updated.
any suggestions?

From my experience...it could be the case of overheating...first start by checking the fans and sink...Get a cooling pad!

If it's been less than a year, call customer support, they will help you out. If not, check memory.dmp file in ur pc, download some tools to find out the cause and do the rest. - Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click System.
- Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
- In the Write debugging information list, click Small memory dump (64k).
To change the folder location for the small memory dump files, type a new path in theDump File box (or in the Small dump directory box, depending on your version of Windows)
follow the link or search for more to dig more..
