- what's happening, man ... ??  ...  Sajha rocks ... !! 

- just wondering if its possible to create a "Corner" for "Music Addicts" ... 
(something similar to "Sajha Techies")

- it would be a "" No Holds Barred Thread 4 Music "" ... where ...
- music from all genres ... (from Nepali Classics ... all the way ... 2 ... Iron Maiden)
- & music from any part of the World .... could Exist in Peace ...

- basically a collection of Music ... that Sajha users would like to share ...

- maybe it might benefit the users who posted on that thread too ...

i leave it up to U ...  2 name the thread .... or, anyone else coming up with a creative name ...

one more vote from my side.. I am tired of looking at the 20 threads created by BP in a single day.. So, I vote for the single sticky thread instead of forum full of threads by BP.. lol.. No hard feelings BP..

Guys it would be good to have separate categories. Please list some categories so that the main page would hold all songs but depending on which category is selected during post, it can be further classified and easier to find...

@ SAN,

- me wondering if the following could be implemented ... if its not much work 

Example:

- Lets say the main Thread is called "XYZ"
- Once it is clicked ... 
- A User should Not have to Sift through Pages of Music ... 2 listen/post 
 (this will only cause a HotchPotch of Music)

- instead once the thread "XYZ" is clicked
- the following appears ...

Just an example

- Hip Hop [ last posted By "A"] - Reggae [ last posted By "C"]
- Classical [last posted By "B" ] - Blues    [ last posted By "D"]
- Etc ...

- Where A,B,C,D are the Usernames of the people who last posted ...
- then the User can Click on any Genre/Category and Listen/Post
(this was Only a suggestion on HouseKeeping)

- There might be more efficient ways of doing this ... 

- Any Criticisms/Suggestions R most Welcome

- me just came across ... a thought ... 
- feel free to Modify ... or even Discard it ... 

-- Is it possible to make 2 Broad Classifications ... 4 ... Music ??
1) Local/Nepali Music = Nepali + any Dialect spoken in Nepal
2) Foreign Music = Any thing that Excludes (1)

?? Also a 3rd category called "Miscellaneous" = something besides (1) & (2) ??
[[ ... could be a mixture of (1) and (2), me just guessing  ... ]]


So, for example::

Category 1: Nepali/Local Music
Subcategories: POP, Hip-Hop, Rap, Sentimental, Classical, Country, Folk, Instrumental, Jazz, Blues, Heavy-Metal, Rock ... Etc ...

Category 2: Foreign Music
Subcategories: POP, Hip-Hop, Rap, Sentimental, Classical, Country, Folk, Instrumental, Jazz, Blues, Heavy-Metal, Rock ... Etc ...


- 2 make Life a BIT Simpler .... 
- if there is any Music that does not Fall in the Categories mentioned above ... 
- they will B placed in a Category named "Miscellaneous"


So if Someone Updates the Thread with Nepali POP Song it would look like ::

- POP [Nepali] {last posted By "A"}

Similarly, if a Foreign Jazz Music has been posted then ::

- Jazz [Foreign] {last posted By "B"}

Where "A" & "B" refer to the Usernames of the PPL updating the Thread


Also,

- In-order to Minimize Redundancies in the Postings ...
- Is it possible to Group Music under "Sub-Threads" ... ??

- So, the Main Thread is called "XYZ"
- & then there R "Sub-Threads" for the ... 2-3 ... categories mentioned above
- & again there R "Sub-Sub-Threads" for the ... Subcategories ...

For example,

- XYZ (Main Thread)
- Nepali (Sub-Thread-1)
- Jazz (Sub-Sub-Thread-1)

- XYZ (Main Thread)
- Foreign (Sub-Thread-2)
- Rap (Sub-Sub-Thread-2)


- This implementation is slightly different than in "Sajha Techies"
- There i can see ... 4 ... example ... postings like
- posting 1 [posted under Security]
- posting 2 [posted under Web Technologies]
- Etc
- When the Thread "Sajha Techies" is opened ... 
- All of the postings ... exist ... together ... 
- Then ... if someone wants to "Filter" their preferences ... 
- The User needs to "click" on that preference .. & things get filtered ...

Instead, How about ... 
- when the Main thread "XYZ" is clicked ... instead of having all the postings appear @ once ... 
- the ... 3 ... Categories appear i.e. "Nepali" , "Foreign" , "Miscellaneous"
- then the User clicks on 1 of the 3 categories ...
- then again the Sub-categories appear i.e. "POP" , "Rap", "Jazz", etc ...
- then the User can click on the Sub-categories ... & ... 
- Post/Listen ...


Oh, Man ... that was a lot of Typing ... hope, Things R Straight ...

- if not ... Plz ... let me know ... 

-- Feel free to completely Discard ... What ... i ... just said ... if its Gibberish ...
