Do you have provision to stop comment from particular sajha blogger?

I was trying to comment on "second letter by raju161" but it did not let me do.

To be honest; many time this guy commented that  he could understand my me then I tried to communicate in Nepali. I know most of the time I eat auxiliary verb  and mismatch in, on, to. I thought he has a great vocabulary. Now you reminded me that his is nothing but as the Maoist bhasan, do remember some one requested to translate in English.

I am guessing this guy and SNA is same because both are angry and both has grudge and keep poking unwanted and unrelated time and place.

If someone blocks that mean he wanted to be commented by him with different log in name or so called his friend only.

So, what the use of  it if blocked. Better chat with pals or email with them.

Let's see what he will do with syanjali? I think he will keep it because of this thread or your comments. For sure he will be keeping close eye on both of you, you were blocked.

Recently there has been a barrage of negativity and animosity within sajha postings. In order to empower a thread originator, the delete link has been set at his/her disposal. Upon deletion of more than one posting from a certain user, the user is unable to reply on the thread to maintain general level of sanity without too much unsightly back and forth clash of cyber egos.

This kind of blocking to post on particular thread will be activated either by the originator's deletion of posts OR by sajha administrator who can delete postings that are deemed to be instigative, derogatory, defamatory, or  impinge upon someone's freedom of expression.

Sajha has a huge potential of helping out lot of Nepalis but due to lot of negativity, lot of quality users are forced to find more positive grounds.

Sajha is a virtual ground where most of the users are anonymous and we do not need to nurse the ego of these anonymous nicknames to feel better!

Regarding my query; Found on web how to block websites and was easy but you must open notepad as an administrative then only it works.

SanBro: I think the delete causing the blocking of the person is a great idea for the reasons you articulated. If it comes to "delete", there is no point for the person being deleted to repost... Makes perfect sense to me... Keep up the good work.

I need to block some ego maniacs from my thread too who have issues with my freedom of speech.

To make the web healthy and widely acceptable it may turn good as well it may end of blocking every one and most of the comments  will be by the original creator like raju161 in " second letter" .

Can the thread creator unwind the block? or once blocked it will bar him/her for ever on that particular thread?

GT Thanks for bringing that thread to my attention.

It turns out that the majority of the down votes were done by two individuals using 2 ip addresses. I have removed their votes in ANY of the threads and posts, and banned their multiple usernames so that they will not be able to abuse their priviledge. Those IP's will also be unable to register again in sajha.

As far as keeping tabs of this kind of fraudulent voting, I will look into making the voting application more robust to detect and flag out multiple votes from one IP address.
