Hello sajha guys, i need some help .
I ve been working as a professional machinary parts purchase officer sinds 2002 here in UAE. Over these 9 yrs i ve gained plenty of knowledge over mechanical parts n its constructions. I ve got B Sc. in physics from TU . In addition i ve done undergraduate diploma in marketing here in Dubai. Last week i came to know a institute run by some indian professonals who suggested me to inroll for a year programme in their institue n after completion of this programme i will be awarded 144 credit hours n 'll be given a BE degree in mechanics i.e. mechanical engineering from University of Newcastle in USA. If i pay around 700 us dollar the certificate would be attested by Mrs Hilari clinton ( Foreign ministry of usa).
It would be grateful if someone gives me more informations about this university, its credit systems and its other affiliations institutes as well as your valuable opinions n advice for this programme.
I m interested to this programme because i got loads of knowledge but the certificate. If i ve the degree it would be easier for me to apply for Permanent Residence in Canada or in Australia.
Thanx in advance

Hi Abinn,
I think that you should get more information. It also depends on what your purpose is. If your purpose is just to put a certification on your resume, then you can go ahead, but if you want it to mean something, you need to check with accreditation agencies. Having Hillary Clinton's signature on a certificate is not a big deal. I'm surprized that they don't advertise that they could get Barack Obama's signature.
If you are transferring your Bsc degree to the states, there is an official governmental organization that will verify the degre, credits and your grades. If some "desi university" doesn't require you to do so, then chances that it is a hoax is great.

To start with, I would ask that question to the US Education Foundation in that country's US embassy for details.

If they told you that Mrs. Clinton will sign your certificate, then it's probably a scam.

Abinn, You need no correction on your statement. You were right on your original thread. But implies except. You need not put 'not' there.

Don't need to do any research. It apparently is a scam:
"If i pay around 700 us dollar the certificate would be attested by Mrs Hilari clinton ( Foreign ministry of usa)."
How ridiculously scamming is this. No US politician have authority to verify any type of professional and academic certificate nor any of them intend (ever) to do such thing.
Too dummy to beleive in this scam quickly.

Hi Abin,
I did some internet research for this college. I certainly believe this is part of scam. As you are also well-educated and experienced person, I think you will not fall on this.
- Why the domain name is http://www.unc.ac . As .ac is the Internet country code top-level domain, it not .edu which should be for educational purpose
- There is no University of Newcastle in US, do google search
- I used Google Map with street view, but I cannot see anything related to this university
- As u can call free from google talk, try to contact their numbers
- Check the course schedule (http://www.unc.ac/index.php/page/action/edu/course), there is no course schedule after February 2010
- I did the reverse whitepages, basically it gives you the owner information about the phone number. And it shows that it cell phone, Can u believe that university contact number is on cell phone. http://www.whitepages.com/search/ReversePhone?full_phone=2026576238
- Finally I nailed it :) Now I got it, Try to search their fax number (202 756 1301) in google. It is related with different universities and different firm, I believe are part of differnt scam
Hope this help you

Please do not fall into this scam. This is definitely a bogus website, run by some crooks. If you're really interested in getting a degree, try top accredited open universities or try to inquire locally.
This 'thug' is no different than maosansar's article on:

SCAM!! why don't you just apply to US universities or even local ones if you really want to study. Since ur working as well, it will not be difficult for you to pay your tuition fees. And it will definitely be a good investment.

I m just confused. None of u guys said yes for this course but if you think from other side that the fact to get a engineer degree within such a short period is amost impossible and i ve not gotta gut to follow 5 yrs full time course. I m already 32 yrs and the truth is i really wanna add this in my resume from which i 'd get better oppurtunities herein Dubai if i wanna stay here or also if want to apply for PR of Canada or Australia it will work. As all of you guys know that engineering is yet in a priority list in Aus. n in Canada.
Therefore i really want to know if this university is registered in USA n if its certificate will be attested by the foreign ministry of USA. And if i can apply for PR with such a certificate.
Serious advice is heartly welcomed...
Abinn

It is hard to tell if this guy Abhin really wants to be scammed or maybe he is just trolling around. Are you really that DUMB? how many people have already researched and posted comments here that clearly shows that this so called university, you want to get a degree from, DOES NOT EXIST. seriously, if it's too good to be true then it must not be true.
