As a law-abiding citizen, I should care when people knowingly pull a fast one. But then, pursuit of happiness ... yada yada yada... I don't care.
So if this YCL guy wants to file for asylum, I say let him try. And unless he is a big time hoodlum who did bad things, why bother?
I guess I am in one of those "dyam cyare" mood.

Though I hate Maoists a lot, I definitely want them to stay here. Makes Nepal safer. And eventually they will realize how badly they were misguided back home.

Were are you pire? Aborad or hometown?
So, you want all of them to get assylum and make home safe? What a great idea?
I heard that kind of idea given to EX-King Gynendra, Contact the foreign countries for employment and send the maist cadets. Once they come back they will be different person and will not be going back to gungle.
Not sure how it would have worked in real life but did not happen. ( again do not ask what is your point, for point open a text book or a religious book).

I agree with you guys, definitely makes safer Nepal if they voluntarily accept the self-exile. But my hatred to that particular guy is concerned with his father who still holds a “Maobadi Gabisa Sabhapati” position.
If you still say, “gari khana de na ta , thoda tero bhag khosna ako hora”, I should better stop writing anything further. But I do not find myself among the generous and emotional hearted Nepali dorks.
You may call me a jealous or anything who is resentful on the US government policy on giving green card to fake asylee and I am definitely not on “dyam cyare” mood too. These slime balls never were misguided, they misguided us and misguiding us, they are simply opportunists. I am sure and certain that there are many of us who love being opportunist and I love to see their comments as well.

If you are really convinced that this warrants action, gather the full name of the person who is committing the immigration fraud and call the Immigration Enforcement line at 1 (866) 347-2423. This line is set up for the average person to report a fraud.

And now i think of it you are right, maoists are murderers and they are black listed from U.S. yes, you should show your good charachter of a good citizen or a good guest etc and report that bastartd to the authorities. he cheated and killed in Nepal and now he is cheating a generous system. please report. i know of one person in colorado who was deported after few ynd cears afeter some one complained , althought i don't now what the matter was. I am pretty sure this must be in san franscisco too , right? it is nice to be liberal and kind and stuff but those guys definately need to make sure that they do their due delegence to filter out the maoists. btw, on a side note what if he wins dv lottery and comes here, his maoist dad gets to be a us resident too in about 6 years , lol... U.S system only tortures students i guess, on one hand they are blacklisting maoists from Nepal, and on the other hand they are opening dv lottery for them... i and lots of Nepali immigrants had to flee the country because of people like that fake asylee i hope we will be safe here..

Guys, have you seen the movie scarface? Apparently, when Castro wanted to make US suffer for its antiCuba policy, he decided to release all criminals from Cuban jail and let them go to the United States.
Look, I have watched Nepali communist leaders travel to the states and admit with me that capitalism has a lot of virtues. Of course, these commie leaders then go back to Nepal and make the same propaganda they used to make. These are shameless people. By now, they also know that they do so for survival. Except for Man Mohan, I haven't found a commie son-of-a-bitch worth respecting. But that's my feeling. In addition, it is a fault of anti communist politicians that they haven't been able to unmask them (partly because they are also knee deep in corruption themselves.)
I knew a man who still calls himself 'right hand' of a major Maoist leader, lives in Boston and has filed for asylym. He admits his shamelessness. Without puking at him, I feel a pleasure that I would probably not have otherwise had.
Since most of these people still work in a dangerous gas station or liquor store, I don't have anything to be jealous of them. Back home, most of these beasts are burden to the society. At least, here they learn how to work to suppor themselves.
And no, I don't believe it will solve the Maoist problem in Nepal. It will probably lessen it somewhat.

Problem of us Nepalis is we never complain. we get jelouse of people who are corrupted and unpunished but we never protest.. that is why our society has full of corrupted leaders and it is out of control. what is the gurantee that by gaining the asylum he will be a modest capalist. if that held any ground then child rapist should allowed to work in a elementary school, hoping that he will change his act by looking at a bunch of innocent kids. murderes and serial killers should be awarded by society and given houses , cars and bank balance that never finishes hoping that he will get engaged in spending the money and forget to kill people.
I have seen myself with these corrupted leaders once they gain asylum or dv , they usually go to Nepal and do more corruption, extortion, and all sort of illegal acts to gain money. Pretty soon you will see that maoist asylee opening a gasstation or restaurant or motel in the US and his father will support him with the corruption money. And who can stop his maoist father from coming to America in abotu 6 years as a PR. stop it. it is very sad and unethical for both Nepal and the generous America who as set up the system to help the really needy ones. trust me it has happened so much lately that these middle aged politicans come to America and file asylum from San francisco, and go to Nepal and corrupt more, now they are unstoppable, if anything goes wrong they can use their green card and come to US. please do your part if you are sure he does nto deserve such protection.

No one can give any guarantee about anyone reforming. Sure, I am not stopping you from reporting a Maoist. I personally have no problem if Maoists suck this system and leave Nepal. In fact, that's what I want them to do. Go anywhere, but just don't live in Nepal. If Maoists go to Qatar, UK, New Zealand, Canada, and leave Nepal as it is, I will be very happy.
And oh, yea, the risk of capital flight exists from every corrupt son of bitch. The royalists live everywhere, here and in Nepal, and they have good bungalow and I am not complaining. I have heard some Congressi leaders too have money here, and have their kids here, and I am not complaining. Asylee include people from all colors, and almost all of them are liars. And, no I am not complaining. The Americans are not as generous as you think. They charged tons of money for students. I paid many application fees for college admissions, then application fee for GRE/TOEFL/SAT, then visa application fee, visa fee.. in fact, last time I was held up because apparently I didn't pay biometric fee which didn't even exist when I last applied for visa..Then when my parents had to come here, we paid tons of fees again. There is no love, no generosity in any system, and so, it is "either you suck me or I suck you" world here. So do what you want to do, whatever makes you happy. Just don't tell me this country is generous or something like that. Tell that to some Republican weirdo.

i understand your frustration pire, i came as a student too .however, .comng to US on student or tourist visa is different. it is you who proved that you were wealthy enough to finance your studies or vaccation. we can't blame the system for spending our money for the choice we made. it was a bad investment in our part and America never legally stopped us from going back either, it was our own imagination that we would face humilation for returning and still because of that most students live like dhoti slaves rather than living their lives with dignity. however, asylum is a humanitarian cause. It does not cost you money to file asylum , unless you want a lawyer. once you are granted it gives you cash, medical and other assistance, and even gives you the first work permit for free. now isn't that generous? i know i can't say the samre thing to education system because i paid 4 times more than the lazy brat sitting next to me in my class. but what is generous is generous and wha tis not is not..

Don't get me wrong, Kalopani. I have no issue about returning or staying. I just disagreed that this system is any more generous than other systems that we know or have heard about. I have been milked and lots of other Nepali have been milked. Not everything can be set aside as bad investment or bad choice. Using your own logic, US made a bad choice in allowing Nepalese asylym. So, why should we complain about it?
I will be very happy if any country, I mean any country including Nigeria, Niger, Papua New Guinea, Iraq etc, and australia, canada etc, take the Maoists away from Nepal. Let them rot in the gas stations and liquor stores of the world and understand what it is to do hard work for a living. And let them live away from my parents, and other good citizens of Nepal.:)
[ On a second thought, if some of you know Maoists personally, and if you derive pleasure by reporting him to the US government, please do it. That's even better on a personal level. It is nice to hurt these dogs once in a while while extracting personal revenge from them.]

First and foremost, I complained the immigration enforcement, thanks to Riten. They asked me, how I know that person and simply noted my complaint, as per them it will go for review of immigration officer. I hope US immigration is definitely not like Sujata run foreign ministry of Nepal.
Secondly, raju 161, I am not interested in your comments. Hope you understand this and refrain from commenting further, else your comments will be intentionally deleted because who else in sajha can know you better than me.
Thirdly, once a Maoist is a Maoist forever, it does not matter to what extent of Maoism he knows and to what extent of Maoist he is. US gave us a platform and should we still say it has to accept Maoist for Nepal's peace at the cost of anti capitalism threat. Do not be generous again here, only we Nepali better know that fake maoist also exists in Nepal which US immigration does not. Nepal is not Cuba and Prachanda is not Fidel Castro.
Fourthly, do not try to be easy going, protest it, stop it, it is wrong. You suffer while you are stuyding, you suffer while you pay school fees, you suffer while you submit your projects and thesis, you suffer while you look for job and again you suffer after you find job to maintain your status. IT IS ONLY YOU SUFFER TILL THE TIME YOU GET YOUR GREEN CARD. THEY DO NOT SUFFER, DO NOT FORGET YOU PAID TAX IN US AND THEY DID NOT

You take the opinion of legal professionals in Sajha (or anywhere) and you'll be astounded to know the facts...most of the applicants for asylum were Maoists (as a strategy to get into United States), some who were out of status and used asylum as tool, and only few who had real case of asylum.
If you want to have fun, talk anything against Maoists with the asylees, they will hate you.
Pity on US state department of homeland security and state department.

Hey Agnibikram,
You need to get a life, man. If this is how you argue or conduct yourself, then I don't think you can hold on to your job at Nabil even if your maternal uncle is executive there (or even if your kaka is stashing his , supposedly all white , money there). The way I see it, even with all your US degree, you don't have it in you to make into a good jagga dalal. You need to be focussed in your work, and let big guys do the macrolevel thinking.
