This I copied from another ajha posting.so please dont contact him.
Mr. rajesh dai, you are in US, so before asking something please due some DD. go to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp site
its govt of canada site
Yes it is possible to apply from US. In fact it is better to apply from US than from Nepal because of the processing time. If you apply from US processing time is shorter. Go to the site, download forms, fill it. In that site you can find the nearest precessing center from you r area, you have to sent you application there. you dont need lawyer or anybody if you are not applying for refugee, etc. skilled worker class dont need any lawyer. from Us the processing time is from 18-months to 2 years, but this changes from time to time depending upon the load. Anyway when you visit the website of nearest processing site to you the processing time will be there.
Nepali Daju Bhai and Didi Bahini Haru,
Namaskar!
After teaching in a remotte part of Nepal for 20 years, I decidedd to apply for Canadian visa. We used Everest Immigration & Legal Service for our process. Everest Immigration has branch in Kathmandu and main office in Canada. The lawyer + owner is Mr. Milan Karki. It has been more than year since we applied for the visa.
Recently we came to know that Mr. Karki (who is representing our case in Canada) was arrested for domestic violence and physicall abuse (related to his wife). He is out in bail and his hearing is scheduled for sometime is June. According to a friend in Canada, Mr. Karki's certificate will be suspended. He had similar situations earlier.
We spend lots of money for this visa. We can are concenred to our visa application. Please help me in following question.
1) Can a lawyer loose his certification if he is found guilty in domestic violeance? Looks like this is not the first time. He faced similar case eariler. At the moment his is restricted going to his house and wife is living in a goverment managed facility.
2) If he looses certification, what will happen to my case? Who will represent? I believe he is the only lawyer in Everest Immigration.
3) Is it a good idea to use other law firms before mr. Karki’s case is decided?
4) We paid all the fees at the begining. If we change the lawer, can we get money back from Mr. Karki? Is there any law or regulations that protect customer like me? Or Any NGOs to help us?
Earlier me and my friend (who also applied for Canada from Everest Immigration), went to Everest Immigration's location office in Lazimat, Katmandu. We just wanted to know if Mr. Karki was arrest and what will happen if he is found guilty. The lady (receptionist) was very rude. We were told to leave the building immediatley. We went again (after two days) to talk to upper level people. We were behaved badly. We were told to leave. Otherwise they were going telephone police. Also, we tried to telephone in Canada Everest Immigration Office and we sent e-mails. It has been two months, we have not received anything.
I spent lots money for Canada visa. I am really worried. Any suggestion will help this "Dukhi family" a lot.
and too aastha tm
Please dont give wrong advice to a fellow nepali, before recommending someone please be yourself clear about what you are saying.

Namaste...!
I am very surprised to see the message above. I am sorry that my staffs in Kathmandu reacted rudely to my clients.
Well, there is no such case at all. Whatever you heard are just rumours in Canada people talk against me. You may verify these issues wherever you want, either Canada Government or Canada Police or wherever you think so.
You can simply verify my license status at http://www.iccrc.ca, or even contact to government of Canada to verify it.
You are free to discuss to me in phone if you want. My phone number here is: (905) 402 - 3211.
I am sorry, I may have missed your email, but please email me: office@worldmigration.net, and we can discuss further.
Don't worry at all. Nothing has happened to me, and I am always with you working always, and I know my responsibilities towards my clients.
Thank you very much.
Regards,
Milan Karki
Immigration Consultant in Canada

Please do not use immigrtion consultants for PR filing. If you can read and write in English you can do it on your own. Just go to www.cic.gc.ca and everything you need to know is available there... There are a lot of immigration consultants in Canada whose reputation is more than questionable. I would not trust them with my future and neither should you...

Duderino And Som,
I know how to fill out the firm and I can read and write the English too. I also know that IT professional are no more eliggilble for Canadaian PR. I am just posting this thing here to find out if there is any back door to get in for the IT professional. And lawayers are best on doing this .

Som, thanks for your suggestion. Do you think/know if a letter from my employeer is enough to apply for canadian PR? Or they require any other governmental paper as well?
FYI:
There are otherway you can apply for Canadian PR which is Arranaged employer or something like that hai...I am not sure. If you have employer ready to hire you, you can apply for canadian PR even though your IT person. It doesnt work in my case, coz i dont want to move or work for them at the moment I have good job here in US. I just want to get Canada PR as my back up plan.
