Hi people,
  I need some suggestion and info. I was just about to buy ticket for dec and i realised that i was unable to find my passport. I am really worried. All i can remember is I put it somewhere other than my regular place for extra safety and i effing can't remember where.
  I am starting to panic..What if my passport is really lost.
   how much time will it take to get a new one?
   what documents will i need to get a new one?
  will there be any hassles when i come to US?
  i m on f1..good standing..my visa is valid til 2013...
  what about my i94? it was with passport...

  where is my passport? i just can't remember.

 what shall i do with ticket now?

first of all dont panic. you are not only one who did this so be cool. do what it guy says and check old threads of sajha there are alot like this.

  i am still unable to find my passport...

  i am mostly worried about visa..if i get a new passport it won't have visa stamping on it...what if i wana go back to nepal? willi have to give visa interview again? oh my god..the whole process again? and i actually got visa for higher standing colege and now i am studying in another university? do they ask for visa interview again....what if i want to file opt? they do ask for valid visa right...please also shed some light on this issue...

 i dunno why is this happening to me..

 even on passport I had no middle name and i had no middle name on all my certificates..i have middle name only on my nagarita...will this cause a problem trying to get new passport from dc...

please pour your inputs...highly appreciated...thanx in advance

I dont think it will be too hard to get passport and 94 but after u visit nepal u have to apply for visa , give interview if they dont give u visa u r screwed up ...... Its better if u go to canada and stapm visa on new passport and go to nepal ........ Tgis is what one of my frend did when he lost his passport ....... Hope it helps . Thanks

 Dont be panic dude.I am sorry to hear that but one of my friend had had more harsh situation than your. He had lost everythig ( Actually his apt was robbed).passport,I-20, original certificates up to bachelor level , everything.but he went NEPAL and got every thing again without any trouble. So, u need not to be worried so much. if u want to talk to him email me along with your cell no I will make you touch with him, u can get some idea,
