NOTE: This is not a racist thread
We have been throwing our anger toward india through sajha.com since long time. We called them with different names such as "dhoti", "marsyaa","filthy indians" , "desi" and bla bla..
But Have we ever noticed what are the benefits we are getting because of this constanst ratio 100=160.
Just imagine our country with and without 100=160. I want to hear your opinion.
what if 100 not equal to 160?

Bro: Sorry if I am a little slow this morning, but what is the connection between 100 vs. 160 and India bashing here?

I get that much but what is the original poster's point here? He almost sounds like India is doing Nepal a favour by setting 100=160 but I don't believe it is India's call. It is our government that does the pegging... But I may have misunderstood the original post...

I am not praising india or deminishing Nepal here. All I want to hear is your opinion. We all know how bad the nepal's economy is and India's economy is growing about 9%. If 100!=160, what would have been nepal's economy? I am just pointing out the benefits which nepal are getting because of this amazing 1.6 ratio. This ratio has signtificant role behind our economy even though our country was smashed by maoist and politicians. Don't you think so?

When our economy and trade are closely knit with India, it makes perfect sense to have 100 = 160. If that is what you are asking.
But a right question to ask may be how long can Nepal sustain 100 = 160. It used to b 100 = 145 some 20-30 years ago.
