Hello everyone,
I had this post earlier as well. Guys if you have any idea how to find job in nursing, would you please share with me. Well I moved from Buffalo, NY to texas beacuse one of the home health care agency told me that she will give me job (Indian owner). But when i moved out here in dallas, TX, She told me her patients want female nurse not a male nurse and I should look for another job. Well I told her that if she doesnt want to hire me, its ok. After that I have been looking for RN jobs, I have been calling home health care agencies, nursing home and hospitals if they hire new grad RNs. Well till now, Its my bad luck, I havent got any job offers. I didnt knew that the job for nursing is so hard to find. Its been 2 months after my OPT and I am wondering what should I do after a month. Well I have also looked for Masters, but its expensive and without any experience, its hard to get Masters program as well.
.. Guys, If you are working in any hospitals or home care agencies or Nursing home or Rehab, will you please share your experiences with me finding the job. I would like to know, if I am the only one who is having such hard time finding job as an RN.

@ thapar: Hmm...it is sad to hear that. But plz don loose any hope. I know u will find it pretty soon. Do u think its hard to find job in dallas, tx ???? as I was also planning to move there. I m also trying to find the jobs but I am pretty sure they won't offer me jobs :). U know same urs  Hope someone here in sajha who is nurse or related to health professions can help us...Cross ur finger for jobs...

Did You gave ur board exam yet?.. Well if not gud luck with that.. Well its difficult for me and not sure of others. this week i got call from some hospital recruiters that I should have applied to GN/RN position or nurse internship beacuse I am new graduate. I didnt knew this before beacuse when i applied and called to HR, no one told me that thing. So, I figure out that I am late for getting job in hospitals. The new GN/RN or internship program will come soon and it is for janurary. So, I guess I will be applying for that. And also I have started calling Nursing homes and asking if they are hiring. Well if i am lucky, I will get soon before I finish my OPT.

Any way... thanks for reply N gud luck ahead.... Hope someone professional would give reply soon....
