If you wanna buy used unlocked Iphone, try Ebay or craigslist. Don't buy locked iphone from US carrier as 4s is still not unlockable. Used Iphone are still selling for more than 600 bucks on ebay. Pretty expensive for a phone. Maybe you can get good bargain on craigslist.com

YOu can get the quote from their websites. Just enter all the information like weight, dimension, destination etc., you will get the idea how much it gonna cost you to ship a iphone to Nepal.

If ur friend is in nepal then I would say u buy him a iphone 4 because siri is useless in nepal and its doesn't really come handy. And iphone 4 ko 5meg camera is I think good enough. So try craiglist and u can find it under 400 easily.

If u really hav to get 4s then I would say try craiglist also. The lastest 5.0.1 unlock is out so don't worry about unlocking it. Just make sure u don't buy the cdma one ie. Verizon or sprint. Go for the att 4s.

There is not unlock method for ios 5.0.1. Thats only jailbreak. Unlocking the iphone depends upon Baseband. Iphone 4s or iphone with baseband 4.11.08  is  not unlockable . That said I agree with you that its better to send iphone 4 rather than 4s as it comes cheaper.

 Hello Pirka and Rahasya, thank you so much for your inputs. My friend is actually in Delhi for studies. He wants iPhone 4S though. Saathi haru ko demand le pani garnu garyo yaar..yati dherai kura uni haru le bujhdaina ani khali paisa pathai dinchu bhancha...hahaha..i dont think i can spend time researching all these for him..i dont know man..they dont believe it will cost $600 or $700...they think its way cheaper...

Intern bro...I have been in your position many times..only difference is its relative in my case....You cant even ask for money as they are relatives...why Nepalese want iphone badly....simple get Andriod...its cheaper, more feature and up par with iphone.

If it work as magnet then definately being proud owner of iPhone 4s in kathmandu worth it tatally worth it
