बेकम्म्बा NSA
प्राय जसो अमेरिकी university  मा Nepali  Student  Association (NSA)  हुन्छ ! अपबाद बाहेक उक्त संस्था को काम नाच गान दशैँ खसी इत्यादी बाहेक केहि हुन्न ! के यो संस्था मोज मस्ती को लागि मात्र हो ? कुनै नेपाली बिद्यार्थी बिरामी भयो अथवा कुनै अपाद आइपर्यो भने NSA  का नेता भनौदाहरु पिडितलाई नचिने जस्तो गर्छन ! नेपाल बाट नयाँ केटी आउने भए एरपोर्ट जान तछाड मछाड हुन्छ ! ग्यास को नि मतलब हुन्न , केटा आउने भयो भने मेरो काम छ क्लास छ ...के के न NSA को नेता हुन टोपलिनेहरु ले नेपाली बिद्यार्थीलाई के साच्ची कै सहयोग गरिराखेको छ त ? तपाई हरुलाई के लाग्छ NSA ? म त भन्छु यो NSA  को नौटंकी काम छैन !! तपाई लाई के लाग्छ ?

You are so right.

When I went to the University - it was so peaceful, no game players no back biters no nothing. There was only one Nepali dai in my department and we seldom met. I was enjoying bihar type politics free environment. Just go to my lab office/lab and conduct research/study. Alas! my joy was short-lived - enters a manipulative fellowmen who saw opportunity in opening an association rather than helping countrymen. Then similar kinds started pouring in. Soon enough there were politics everywhere. Always hated Nepal politics anyway and these so callled NSA netas were/are true followers. For President kursi, they fought like their netas in Nepal. Held election every freaking year. Some even used collected money for their personal use. And these are so called think tank of poor Nepal.

Maybe riddle bro haven't had such exp. Truth is as some stated above - I strongly believe it is the same scenario in every US college/Uni where there are Nepalese.

In my experience, these are the people from TU Kirtipur wherein most of them are losers, teachers in Nepal. Once they land into USA  they think themselves as true scientist/saviour/wellwisher of country and country men, whereas, in reality most of them are cheap hypocrites. 

I totally agree with attitudes of so called Nepali student leaders in my university too. Nepali neta ko jasto taal yeha pani ustai cha tesai le ma aja bholi yo NSA lai baaal dinna ..je sukai hos ..pareko bela kehe garne hainan ..

Some people never change whereever they go.

Actually these student association provides oppurtunity and clear path to help fellow country mates.

We all felt need of guidance when we first entered here fresh off boat. And it is moral duty to help when our turn comes. Unfortunately some people have delusion of self important leaders whose conscience has been engulfed by greed. I wish i never come accross such country men.
But these kinds of people are not just in college/ university. They are omni present in all nepalese circles.

I have witnessed ugly fights (verbal though - they know better not to engage in fistfights = would land in cell here in US jeopardizing their status) ensued before/after elections just like back home. I lived amongst them for good 7-8 yrs. And from what I have heard - similar dramas occur in almost every US collges/Uni. Felt suffocated. Graduated and got the heck out of that hellhole. Try to stay away from gatherings as Rana said such persons are ubiquitous. Just touch base with some selected individuals.

Sad to see people studying Master's and PhDs still harbor such pathetic ideologies that have plunged Nepal into current situation.

What would you expect from such individuals and their offsrpings? God Bless US and Nepal.
