Alliance for economic independence, alliance for local economics, alliance for sustainable development

I voted HeNN and GMIN both. Any other group you want me to vote I can vote.
CNN is helping Nepal. Chase is helping Nepal. Millions of organizations around the world are helping Nepal. Millions money pouring into Nepal. But still not enough. How long this help will continue? As long as we ask for help I guess.

With due respect to all, it is difficult to understand all sides of help drive, vote for help drive. For many people, vote was a national issue.
Help is a temporary, a brief measure. Is that the answer to a much known situation of shortage of income? Can one cure one chronic illness with a band-aid? Can citamol cure poverty? No idea how long can CHASE’s Fund sustain? Should the citizens and the concerned ones of Nepal, an economy of nearly $19 B. GDP (WB), be focusing on CHASE voting? Instead, does Nepal lack solutions, local solutions, solutions that educated can offer and demo, to solve and grow?
Said that, Help is requisite during certain times and situations. When Seti floods in, affected people need various emergency aids. They need water, medicines, and shelters, to list the least. Flood victims rely on outsiders for relief measures and to recover. Charitable donation is a must at that time. Similarly, the godly work of Ms. Dil Shobha Shrestha depends on donation. How can one ask elders on bed to work and earn food?
In contrast to above two examples, those who fail to attend school are victims of poverty, hunger, malnutrition, unsafe and limited water. If they are not attending schools, they are doing so because of many issues, not necessarily because they completely lack access to schools. Poverty is continuing. Income is the issue. When society is stricken with poverty and exclusiveness, health and education will not develop. One can’t cure a chronic illness with a band-aid.
Tackle hunger and water, destroy poverty
In a country where food is in scarce, if not the land, work culture is the area to focus on. In a country where rivers are limitless, but people struggle to draw water, think about that problem to get the answer. Work culture is the weak area. Work culture is unbalanced and unproductive.
Women work more and suffer, and men tend to work only when situation demands. Women work throughout the year, men don’t. That is the work culture of subsidence farming. If one wants to earn more than food, work is the answer; work is the fundamental of productive economy. Health and education are functions of income, which is a function of economy. Motivate to work at least an hour more a day. IF we don’t work, citamol can’t help. My views.
HNN and Rabindra Mishra
Does he understand well? Why did he request Baburam in that runche languages to stop violence after letting BBC Nepali Sewa perform as a propaganda machine of Maoists? Either he didn’t comprehend he was used by the Maoists then or he did drama later by writing that ‘famous’ letter to Baburam. Supporting Maoists cannot be justified. Even if 15,000 plus dead citizens are forgotten, every death, every crime Nepal experiences today has Maoists’ finger- and foot-prints.
This guy is sexist. Not a long time back, he wrote a sentence that was full of chauvinism. He does not know how to be respectful to anyone, for that matter.
Think about this sentence taken from Help Nepal website: HeNN Nepal encourages Nepalis at home to have a plate of momo or a few cups of tea less in a month and donate the savings to the fund. Is that the right tone? Make serious and sober request to the people to come forward, be together, and overcome undesirable social situations. That is respectful. Respect is unsubstantiated but is an imperative of every individual of the social spectrum.
Help Nepal Network (HNN) says, “The aim of the Network is to encourage Nepalis and those who love Nepal around the world to provide assistance in the fields of health and education in rural Nepal. The Network also provides occasional support to disaster relief efforts.” HNN sounds right on the later part, but fails to utilize the synergy.
HNN is a network of educated and rich ones, the brighter and stronger side of the society. Don’t you want to use knowledge and experiences to tackle the problems at the root level instead of their votes to buy citamol? Utilize their knowledge and experience to root out the disease.
In reality, Rabindra Mishra comes from Donald Trump School of publicity and business. Mishra known BBC Nepali Sewa is in danger in spite of a reasonable size of listenership. If he fails to maintain that listenership, he loses the only point that is supporting that service. Mishra needs to create attentions to maintain that listenership or increase that even further and save his income, anyhow, just like Trump, so-called billionaire. Trump manages a good income out of Celebrity Apprentice, which, according to critics, is the reason for his publicity stunts. Trump’s distractors don’t believe he is rich enough to ignore money he makes presenting NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice.
Anyway I’ve no idea who is Rabindra Mishra, I’ve never seen him before, I’m not much into his radio presentation, I read his writing a few times, including that ‘famous’ letter, I wish him good health, I just disagree with his approach, his disrespectful presentation, pretentious, disingenuous, views.
Drive for work, not for vote.

गाउ घर मा बच्चाहरु भोक भोकै छा स्कूल मात्रै खोलेर के काम | Malnourised लै Hospital लगेर के काम | औसधी ले malnourised निको हुने होइन क्यारे |
I think the educated young generation should be enterprenures not the donation seekers.

salimmiyafmvirginia,
Salam walequm !!
I am responding to you as one of the person involved with HeNN, since its inception in US.
I do respect your right to disagree with Rabindra Mishra's approach to Baburam Bhattarai or Maoist.
You did raise a lot of valid issues, Nepal is facing, but you did not provide any solutions to any problems. I am willing to convey your message to HeNN if you provide plans and methods of alleviation of poverty, provide health care and education system in Nepal. I will PUSH to implement your ideas.
If eating one less plate of Momo or drinking one can of beer can buy few bricks for a school in Nepal, I am for it.
Khuda Hafis !!

salimmiyafmvirginia,
O- salam- Walequm !
Building or repairing 40 schools, establishing 15 e-libraries, running a health post in remote district of Mugu, establishing a (small) hospital in siraha, (about to be completed) orphangae for 40 children in Dhulikhel, providing relief material to fire and landslide victims, distribution of clothes to people who suffered from "sit - lahar" in terai , Welfare for chepangs, or building toilets for girl students, are not a worthy cause for you. Please provide feasible ways to do things within the limits and resources of HeNN.

Thanks.
(Please accept my apology if I may use thado terms and languages.)
Solutions? There is no silver-bullet. Nevertheless,
(This is a general description. I wish there were data to make those statements palpable.)
Let people have correct, learnable, effective information to realize they can mobilize their resources and skills to yield a higher food production and income.
(Information dissemination yields results. Testimony: Dil Shobha Shrestha Fund. Media reported her devotion to the causes of the elders and orphans and introduced her saintly work to the world. Spreading good work makes sense. Is spreading CHASE a good work? I don’t know.)
Information is education. Information motivates. Information dissemination is the genesis of education, motivation, movement. Information dissemination is very critical and is the backbone of this age market society.
Question 1: Can agriculture attract people?
Agriculture has basis to be attractive in today’s context.
Agro-products are pricy today. (Growth in two neighbors, China and India, has heightened price of essential agro-products in the region. Growing rice and wheat in Jhapa today, for instance, generates more, proportionally, than what used to be the case during1990s and before. Importantly, those products that grow in mountains are rare and limited. Not necessary to mention, products that are rare, limited, and consumable are pricy. Example: Saffron, more than $10,000/kg, the most expensive edible. And, that can grow in Jumla and other locations of Nepal with similar geo and weather features.)
(Late Padam Bahadur Mahat had shared with Bijaya Kumar about saffron cultivation. But, follow-up on that didn’t take place. Media didn’t follow that important message and report comprehensive information on saffron cultivation to the public.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQLlmA9hdkg&feature=related
Question 2: why people aren’t much into agriculture?
Sadly, only a few are aware. Those who are informed on value of agriculture of today are doing very well.
Many aren’t aware of prospect of today’s agro. (Lack of information)
'Kheti' is shame for some. (Unaware ones are victims of misconception, misinformation, and stigmatism. Again, information has the role to play.)
Sadly, media, supposed to the fourth pillar of democracy, spends a large chunk of its space and time talking about Oli, Prachanda, Sujata, Ashok Ra, Baburam, Gupta, Madhab, Koiralas, Bijaya Gachedar, Ram Chandra.
But, who are these people, in effect?
By evidence, they represent government one way or the other.
The question is what kind of government.
Government is legitimate when it has mandate and moral and is fair and just. When a government lacks those attributes, that government is illegitimate.
So, why do news agencies report on what those illegitimate, anti-people elements say?
Media can and must reduce the coverage that it provides to those illegitimate elements.
Instead, media can talk about noble, meaning works of Late Mahat, Kalu Hamal, Madan Rai, Dil Shobha Shreshta, Bhishma Subedi, Syham Badan Yadav, many more. (Media can spread those works; that are meaningful because that are good now and are sustainable. That is central. Spreading CHASE can’t be the fundamental.)
Inform meaningful works. Give them primetime. Change the conversation and realize the course.
(I have to be explicit that was the point of earlier two postings of mine).
On a separate note, why did you use Asalammalequ and Khudahafij? Did you assume I use that? I respect those terms and those who use those expressions, but I didn’t say I greet people and say goodbye in that manner. I don’t think stereotyping is good thing to allow. SalimMFV is a alias. I’m disagreeing with you, respectfully, for one more reason. Personalities like late Ali Miyan, the Lokkavi from Miyanpatan, Pokhara, wrote songs and poems in jharro Nepali. How would he feel should someone treat them as somebody else whose language is Hindi/Urdu and dislikes Namaskar? Those who found Nepal after Angrej attacked Lucknow in 1800s found peace and safety in the newer territory, and they settled in the hills Argakhachi, Palpa, Kaski, Lamjung, Gorkha, etc, to my limited information, and amicably adopted local costume and dialects. The locals of those districts respected and valued the life of those who had to flee away from their homes and villages. That is the fabric of Nepal. That is the beauty of Nepal.
