I am planning to buy a new laptop, but I am soooo confused with the options available. I am not an apple person when it comes to computers. As I happen to make my living through computers, so looking for one with latest processor, OS and good cache size. Sleek and sexy. I like Toshiba Satellite radius 15.6", but then Lenovo was tempting too. Despite of the middle man that Lenovo sends with bonus (the spyware), I still am tempted to consider it. I liked Lenovo edge 15, then I saw Lenovo Y40 and y50.

Any recommendations pls? Too many options can get tricky 😒

Choose laptop only and not with office software. I think it's a good deal. BTW the 10% discount is texted to me personally. I think it's one time use in the microsoft store. You can also get promotional discounts from the microsoft by texting MSSTORE at 29502. Hope you like it.

Go to amazon, search for laptops, apply the desired filters...you will find your dream laptop..i think brand doesn't matter..afterall God created man, and everything elseis made in china...

Simple advise: check dealnews.com you may find cheaper computer.

Dell is Ok, at least get i3 processor, 4 gb ram, higher is better but little expensive, depending upon your choice, 14 or 15 inch screen, check on dell website or dell store , I like 14 inch screen which is little lighter and does not looks bhadda, sometimes same computer you get cheaper in retailers like bestbuy, walmart, frys.

@Manas, thanks for your suggestion. The signature model sounds good though I wasn't so fond of that particular Lenovo model. I will definitely check out others on the site. And hey, thanks for the code!

@Khotokarma, amazon ma khojeko ho, filter pani rakhekai ho. Ani I went to Lenovo ko site where they have the latest models which aren't on Amazon ani I became more confused. My dream laptop haha!

Thukka, went to bestbuy twice and still confused. The more I read reviews, more confused I become! I used dell before..not that tempting to use again. Its an investment for at least a year or two..so wanted to be picky!

Man you acting like u buying a BMW. I worked at best buy before and let me tell you something. When it comes in laptop they have the best deal. You can always price match at best buy. So if you find anything cheap in amazon you can show them and get the laptop. so you will buy a laptop that you have actually touched. I will give you an optimized price for a laptop. It means this is the range where you get a descent laptop. Look for a range between $500-$600. Trust me i've been the sales man. Also make sure you never ever ever buy the protection plan. It is as useless as Sushil Koirala with a condom.
Rest go buy the lappy and dont act like you buying a ferrari...LOL

@CorporateAmerica, lol! Need a new car too, but that will be on another thread hai 😜 And its not about money, its more about perf I was concerned. Best buy ko salesmen are more interested in selling those insurance than the actual product. You are the first one to say not to get it, maybe because you are not working atm.

Choila_sukutikoachar, buying a new PC totally depends on what you do with it. Are you a programmer or graphics designer or is it for school or just for daily email & browsing?

for me dell XPS 14 with I7 processor. Get with SSD.

Since price is not a factor/issue for you, get one with these specs:
i7 - 4 with Hyper Threading or 8 core 8 MB L3 Cache
16GB ddr3 with good timing along with 1600 or more Mhz
SSD all the way - 400 or more GB storage capacity with increased data transfer speeds
Display - your personal preference (I personally prefer 15 or higher with maximum resolution)
Dedicated Graphics (ATI)(Nvidia) (They got plenty of sick cards out there) - Video card - will boost performance for multimedia content. In addition, shared memory doesn't come into play on this platform.

Lastly, if you are looking for badazz desktop I will sell you mine. I built it myself.

Oh and I forgot to mention, check out ibuypower... Their systems make APPLE look like POS...

Man, what are you using this laptop for and what is your budget? After this, Check on amazon or check customized (not really) on manufacturers websites as well. Dell, Lenovo or even HP. Personally, I have bought 6 Laptops so far. Only one was AMD rest all Intel.
All i would say is stick with intel i7, dedicated graphics and good build one (thats where acer and some HP are really bad) Some Toshiba also have really bad looking plastic body.

I would check at store to feel it and buy online. Most of the models on Manufacture's websites are not available on Local stores.
Pls dont make a big deal of it. Its not going to break your Bank account, i guess and its not gonna last you ur lifetime as well.

know his/her requirements as well budgeting.
