Never thought of writing this thread here as I thought the election was over on 3rd but met couple of Trump supporters over the weekend and got to know why they support Trump and voted for him:
First guy: entered US iligally from mexico traveling more than 13 countries, filed asylum, got GC and became citizen 4 years back. Reasons to support Trump is he is doing great job on everything including iligal migration.
Second guy: came US in student visa, left school, filed asylum, got GC and then citizenship. Reasons to vote Trump is (in his own words) "धोती र नेपाली अति नै धेरै भए। नेपाल मा नि भ्याल्यु घट्यो अब त अमेरिका बस्छु भन्दा"
3rd guy: migrated with his DV. He got his own brother's family and जेठान को family here with DV too.
Heard that he called his younger brother faking a marriage (१ जना डिभी परेकि लाइ पैसा तिरेर फेक विहे गरेर छिरेको) but I don't have any proofs. Reason: ट्रम्प ले हुन लागेको वार रोक्यो उत्तर कोरिया सग। चाइनिज ले अमेरिका लाइ टेक वोभर गरिसकेको थियो,ठिक ठाउँमा ल्यायो। मनको एकदमै सफा लाग्छ ट्रम्प
4th: entered in student visa, followed regular students path like h1b gc. Civil engineer, pay was far less than what IT wala make it. Started IT job after receiving GC. Reason to vote Trump: "साला धोती हरुले पुरै खाए IT. वोबामा ले सबै बिगारेर हो। पहिले यतिको चै थिएन। आजकाल हल्का ठिक हुँदै छ फेरि उही बनाउछ वाइडेन ले. स्टक नि बबाल भयो। ट्रम्प आइकन मैंले स्टक सुरु गरेको,२०-२२ हजार प्रोफिट भइसक्यो। जे होस् वाइडेन भन्दा चै राम्रो गर्छ"
There were other two folks who voted Biden and their main reason was the racisms after Trump got elected in 2016.

Just a weird question.. why are some nepalese trumpers? do they think they were born in midwest USA?

I think it's a simple case of picking the better of the worse. I am a political science major and this is my personal opinion.

There are two choices Biden and Trump.
Trump stands for a single person who is arrogant and proud and not very smart but is a good businessman.
While Biden stands for collusion of industries and corporations with politics. He comes from the same political structure that was revealed by wikileaks dump of Hillary Clinton's emails which showed that top democrats are using their political influence to make lot of profit. They support endless wars to keep military industrial complex happy selling billions of dollars of weapons. They support collusion of healthcare industry and insurance industry to keep medical costs high for consumers while getting kickbacks from lobbyists. They have a system in place to continue their greed for money and power. They control more than 90 percent of the media so they can continue to spread their own story to the public who do not have much time to get another perspective or the real story behind what they see on the news. They work along with international bankers and corporations and upcoming economic superpowers like China and India to make huge private profits by giving access to US market. If they were doing these things for the good of the country then it would not be be an issue but they are getting a lot of personal profit by putting their relatives in boards of international corporations getting paid millions of dollars without doing a single thing besides providing access to US market with ease through political influence. Not only that, all over the world profitable contracts are given to democrat controlled corporations in the name of charity, United Nations, World Health Organizations. Wars are fought with rich countries and their resources seeped into democrat or their relatives corporations by enforcing continuous presence in those countries. Trillions of dollars of gold and jewelleries from Sadam Hussein and Libya's Gaddafi's palace are unaccounted for after their seize by the coallition forces. Besides that, even within the country, the democrats control companies that make voting machines so they directly control most of the election outcomes by hook or crook. During Hillary and Trump debate, Hillary was provided all the questions in advance by Donna Brazille. Even popular democratic socialist such as Bernie Sanders was sidelined during primary for 2016 even though he actually won. People will ask if they own the voting machine companies then how did Donald Trump actually win in 2016. It's very simple, even though they have lot of influence, there are many people who are waking up to the reality behind the democrats so in non democrat heavy places, they are not able to use their influence to directly control the vote counts. The democratic party started to go into the black hole of after it became bankrupt around 2014-2015 timeframe when Obama was president. At that time Hillary Clinton injected a lot of her money into the party to get it out of bankrupcy due to which she was hailed as the queen of the party and they did everything they could to get her to win but due to her direct involvement in many side deals revealed by wikileaks the democrats could not secure enough votes to win although they tried everything they could. So ever since Trump became president, the Democrats used everything they have especially the media to demonize trump every day every hour, which made it easy to make people believe that he could never win. Even after that, more than half of the US are beginning to know the shenanigans of the democrats so they would still not vote Biden, but the powerful allies and cronies of the Democrats had already set their machine in motion to usurp the presidency no matter what. After this election, it is highly unlikely that republicans will win for a very long time. The democrats connections and influence are so deep and strong that even government officials in FBI and CIA who are officially supposed to support the elected president, did not support Trump. That is the kind of deep rooted influence and power they exert.

There is more but I think you get the picture. I think a lot of American's are waking upto these facts that the media will never show but people care enough to start realizing on their own, but there is not much you can do when you are up against so much power so much money.

He is a good businessman as in he knows how to make money for himself. Businessmen can be snake oil seller. They know how to save money. They know how to use the tax system to save money for themselves.

How did that fool me? How am I gullible? I know what he is who he is. But do you know the democratic party?

@Polisci: You brought up really good points here. I see many folks here blinded by hate towards Trump so much that they don’t even question who they are supporting. I see people belittling Trump Supporters as if they are saints for supporting Biden and have fulfilled their sacred duty by voting for Biden.

@ Sajha Keto: Not pointing fingers at you brother but what does their background have to do with whom they can support or what their political beliefs should be like? Can we hear from you, why you support Biden ?
I was a student myself and worked my way up to have a stable career here in US. But when I look back, I feel like I also lied to US government because I said I was going to go back to Nepal after I finish my school. But here I’m, enjoying the greatness and freedom of this beautiful country. So, please stop being judgmental about the people’s beliefs no matter how they got here or how they got their US residency.

I know people wont have time to go by each thread in sajha and read it to find out what's their views on each of the topics. So, not blaming you on that. I had asked folks in sajha why would they prefer Trump vs Biden as I was also kind of undecided voter at some point. I got mixed views from them. Obviously, I did not want to decide based on the news in different media. I also have some friends living in North Dakota and West Virginia and South Dakota, got to know abut their experiences after Trump got elected in 2016. I followed different leftist vs rightist groups in reddit. The main reason was racism(obviously so many other factors as well not just based on CNN) that I and many of my friends felt after 2016. If you live in diverse community, you would not see it. Giving you the details as I felt you were interested to know.

Not sure how you found me being judgmental when I shared our conversation on why folks supported Biden vs Trump with their consent. The reason to give details of Trump supporters is the way they think not the way they supported Trump. You could have many other reasons to like/vote Trump but how can you be so hypocrite on fellow Nepali or others while you came here illegally?What's their problem if other come here illegally while they themselves came that way?

I’m sure everyone here agrees with me that we have more rights here in US than we have in Nepal. Attacking one’s background to prove a point is not very logical. I’m sorry to hear that you had to face racism in this country. I agree racism is disgusting whether it be in Nepal or US or any parts of the world. There are many forms of racism. You would have to elaborate which one you have faced. I believe we can achieve anything in US if we have the right skills, hard work and right mindset.I don’t think racism is stopping any immigrants from achieving higher goals. Off course there are racist people in any part of world not just in US but doesn’t mean the whole country is racist. I don’t consider some white folks telling me to go back to my country in parking lot altercations as racist. It is his/her way of expressing his/her anger.
