Is it true or just a rumor that GAutam Buddha was born in India instead of being born in Nepal. I just have been hearing this shittt from Indians that Budhha was born in India.....hope that's not the truth but anyway I am pretty sure that's a fuc.... big ass lie in the face of Nepalese people...

You are right, Indian textbook said Buddha was born in India. I had same discussion with Indian people and finally i found that they read while they wre High School. Some Indian people called us Nepal is part of India...........i heard there is name called Lumbini, Siddaarthanager and all we know that Dalai Lama and his people also live there.

But truth is that Buddha was born in Nepal and his real name is Siddartha Gautom. We have place called Tilourakot, Kapilbastu, Siddarthannagar, and Lumbini. All these place is with in 25 miles range, all these name is famous because of Buddha was born there.

I don't know what the fuc... is rong with these Indians.They keep on conveying wrong informations to kids...about Nepal and our precious heritage. Well they got it all twisted, i would say...Personally, I also had confrontation with some Indians regarding this topic..Well glad to see that we have the same opinion in this issue...

We Nepalis get very upset when Indians claim that Gautam Buddha was born in India. I would say rightly so. However, the question we need ask ourselves is what have we done to follow the teachings of Buddha? And, more importantly, have we done enough to promote Lumbini (in Nepal) as Buddha?s birthday? All of the Buddhist tourism is taken by India, and no wonder this old thing regarding Buddha?s birthplace keeps cropping up.

Well, we had this guy from gujarat in our college and that guy would always tease two nepali girls in the same college about Nepal being an Indian state and about Mt Everese and Budhdha. We used to be quiet in the beginning but when he started crossing the limits, one of my nepali friends actually slapped him infront of the whole class. Imagine, an auditorium with 75 students and the sound of the slap. It actually echoed and everyone was just spell bound.

Gautam Budha was born in Kapilvastu, Lumbini, now Nepal; he walked seven feets right after his birth. Even Emperor Ashok knew it and built several memorials in His name. He married his daughter Charumati to Nepal's prince Devpal and built a Budha's chaitya Chabahil just because Budha was born in Nepal. There need not be any more proof.

Everyone wants to naturalize him or his body in one way or other -his tooth is in Sri Lanka, ash in Japan, and gyan was achieved in Gaya, India.

It really does not matter if others say he was born in a country other than Nepal as long as the world knows where he was born... he belongs to the world in the end.
