Okay, Kshetriyas and Brahmins did attempt to impose their segregation, have mongolians and Newars been far behind? Whenever there is a big Nepali gathering, why do I see those of Mongolian decent grouping with each other only, seperating themselves from the crowd?
Fault exists in both ends, segregation is still exercised. Best thing to do is stop blaming each other, Acknowledge that problem exists in both ends and try to reach a solution in unison. Blaming one distinct group doesn't solve the problem, it makes it worse.

Agreed totally with Stiffler on this one. How long we will blame each other? When will we learn to get along and work for the coomon goal? We need to head to same direction? Heading in every direction will lead to no where.

Of course the Newars and Mongolians are going to separate themselves from the crowd and segregate when they are treated like some lowly human beings by the Group of people who are in powerful positions in the country and who believe that they are superior human beings than the ones in question.

Segregation exists in any culture, but the problem that I am bringing up is not segregation. It's the issue of some Kshetriyas a Brahmans considering themselves superior human beings than the others.

I don't see what's wrong in talking about an issue that exists among Nepalis. I am not denouncing all Kshetriyas and Brahmans, and I am not taking side of Newars and Mangolians or dalit people.

I am saying it is not right that these few people consider themselves as superior human beings compared to others and treat others accordingly. Don't you agree that it is wrong?

I'm bringing up the problem because I want to find a solution for it. And the solution will not come unless the educated Kshetriyas and educated brahmans do something about it as far as changing this superiority complex and accepting that we are all one.

Doing nothing about it is accepting it and encouraging it. I am bringing it up because I don't accept it and don't want to encourage it.

I agree with Cryptonite. Nothing wrong with talking about it as long as you dont take sides. Its our birth right. Besides talking is just talking. Respested is (s)he who believes in action and who talks with credibility.

Making a statement like the one you have made above, without any backing, any proof is quite an insignificant act. I dont know why everyone is getting angry.

It would make you and your statements important if you could back it up with proof. It would make you and your statements even more significant if you, alongwith enlightening us with a problem, could also present a possible solution so that we may discuss the +ve and -ve sides of the solution.

Allow me to demonstrate :

I think that the problem in Nepal is people like Cryptonite.

And now my supporting arguments.

Every country has its share of problems. Some understand the problems and some dont but everyone is plagued by it.

A) Among those who do NOT understand the problems :

1) Some keep doing their karma overcoming or trying to overcome the challenges (the roots of which they dont know)
2) Some give up saying, fuk it, too much work. dont know why its so hard but i know it TOO hard.

B) Among those who DO understand the problem

1) Some try to fix the problems by coming up with solutions.
2) Some just talk about the problems without proposing or thinking about solutions. Maybe they do but they are too scared or weak to bring it out in the open, maybe for fear that people might laugh and think them dumb for proposing their solution. All speculation.


Now the A1s and B1s are doing their job. The problems is the A2s who give up but cant blame them as much as the B2s who KNOW the problem yet dont do JACK SH1T about it.

Thus I believe that people like cryptonite (B2) are the main problem. The second biggest problem are the A2s.

In order to fix the problem we need to educate the A1s, A2s and B2s. So I propse

EDUCATION.

You know when people have problems, thier first step is denial. You are in the first step, and soon you will come off your pedestal and realize that everyone is equal and that we are ONE.

Unless you are in favor of those Kshetriyas and Brahmans who think they are superior human beings or you are one of them, I think you should help in trying to find a solution rather than trying to deny this problem, or try to oversmart yourself with your statements and arguments.

You are bringing up a taboo subject so you will meet a lot of resistance. This thing happens but noone brings it up because we take it as a part of reality. Reality sucks and this is one of the realities that suck.

I am from one of the two castes but I have lived out of Nepal most of my life but when I go back to Nepal, I can see what you are saying pretty well even in my own family. That's all I can say.

Yea yea end of story period if you live in the US. I'm not talking about the US - get that into your pea sized brain. When's the last time you've been in Nepal?

In the US it doesn't matter what anyone thinks because you are judged upon your own merits and not that of your caste or family.

But, in NEPAL, it matters very much since these are the people who are in powerful positions and their mentality that they are superior to others, makes them not do their work properly because they are biased against the other people. This mentality is actually making life difficult for the others who don't belong to these two castes.

When you're in Nepal you cannot say 'I Know where I stand,.. blah blah' because they will be standing on top of your head if you don't belong to their caste.

I am fully aware of what happens in Nepal. But if educated people like you belittle themselves and behave the way you do ...what can I say. People will only think that they are better than you IF YOU LET THEM. THere are plenty of lower casr people that are Dr's, Lawyers, Engineers, Teachers etc etc If you are confident of yourself You can stand anywhere and know yourself be it NEpal, Europe, Australia, or United States. You are calling someone a-pea-sized-brain for saying he wants to off this problem, then what size is your brain, a fly's ball? If you think this issue is for nepal and nepalese people and NOT for the people staying in the US, there is no use of posting your remarks in this site. Apart from that, if someone has a superiority complex, it is just as someone has inferiority complex. Both of them have problems. You know what I mean?
It could just be your feelings. For example, there are some caste groups in Nepal, of whom people are scared of, coz they fight a lot. But if you forget about that part of those people, they are not gonna fight you, but if you feel scared and show it, obviously they are gonna treat you like a coward, get the point?

you guys should go spend your time more wisely rather than talking crap and wasting your energy on finding crap and bringing them over in sajha. you guys should focus your time on persuing degrees, learning, practicing something creative.. go get your degree, keep yourself busy, if you have degrees learn something , like a language, develope a hobby, gardening or something... quit wasting your time on gossiping and thinking about shit shit shit all day....
