I miss those though days at Ocean City. I spent two summers 1999 and 2000 there. One thing about Ocean City is if you work hard you’ll make enough money for your whole year. I used to work at 7-Eleven and a motel. Worked at that amusement park for a week and quit coz of the heat. Well bro, if you are planning to go there make sure you lease apartment ASAP coz it is hard to get one as summer starts. Good luck…

Look at the last pic i posted there.
it's an island.
very small, in the middle of the ocean and so beautiful.
its crowded all the time.
Because of the traffic, very hard to drive if you are taking your car.
You can get bus service all the time, almost 24 hours. for 1 dollar, you can use your pass multiple of times for the same day.
If you don't have car, don't worry, you don't need it there.
if you have one, it's better to take it with you... you might wanna go out to visit other cities and places for fun.
If you like to party, this is the party place. there used to be so many clubs, bars, pubs, uncountable. best ones i likes were big kahuna( 3 in 1), fager's island, (3-4 in one).

and many more...

You get to meet lots of nepali friends in maryland. most of them will be new freshmen to sophomores and some of them will be regular returning guys.

Apartments are very expensive, at least 8 to 14 guys need to stay in one flat. they can cost you about 10k for 3 months and you can at max of 14 can stay in that flat.
so do your math.

If you guys are single and trying to hook up with nepali or foreign girls, this is the best place. All of them go there to work and have fun, so that your chance is high to get hooked up this summer.


try to work at least in 2 places, otherwise you wont save that much.
you should work at least 70-80 hours if u are serious to make money.
few guys work upto 130 hours per week.
in average, most of the nepalese student save about 6 thousand dollars.
about 6-10% of them make upto 10 thousand dollars.
It all depends in you.
Try to get to work in the easy store like sun sations ( there are plenty of sun sations).
try to quit the places like parks and other places where you have to work outside and burn in the sun.
best places i recommend, 1. sun sations, 2. Roses, 3. Super fresh, 4. and few gas stations. ( roses and gas stations gives you overtime pay.

wow Ocean city! what a place! I have not been there for ten years but I am planning to go this year while I am in New york for ANA. I went there for four years from 92-96.Those were the time of my life.

I went to OC in summer of 2002. It’s a wonderful place to visit and have fun with but you will have to work you’re a..off if you want to have some decent savings. Savings would also depend upon the kind of job and work hours you get. You will really learn the hardship of life there and that is what your trip would be worth for....

I would love to visit OC again... may be I will stop by if go for ANA convention.....
