i think she is the best actress nepal has produced ahead of karishma.she looks more japanese to me by her new hair style then nepalese but then she had been in japan for 4years. and about the interview i reached my lab late today in an effort to watch full interview.

Did anyone find the interviewer extremely nosey? I found it extreme when he asked her, why did you divorce your husband? Common!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And he just wouldn't give up until she said her age. I think Gauri Malla did a good job of answering those question. She would have done better to tell him to "drop it" but then to each her own.

I don't understand why this guy Vijay Kumar is still running the show.. .... he is an As^shole.

looks like a court room and a lawyer is interrogating a culprit. VK needs to revise or take a course or two in ethics and Gauri should be more confident in answering. why does she look so worried? or is it just me? :S

I agree with loote. The interview was rather depressing and looked more like an interrogation. His questions seemed way too personal almost too nosy. He should seriously quit his job. He lacks the basic quality of an interviewer and that is to make the interviewee feel comfortable.

I dont agree with you all. As far as i know when any cine artist are called they are usually give an model question and they know what sort of question to expect.thats the reason why gauri malla had her poem ready in the paper as soon as bijay asked for poem. bijay kumar wasnt insisting, he once said that she may not give answer if she dont like.bijay has earned his place thats why he is succesful. dishanirdesh is number one interview program in nepal.

You must be kidding me. When he saw that Gauri Malla hesitated to reveal her age (which I still do not understand why), he kept on insisting. He even asked her if she would not have divorced had she been in Nepal. She said she probably would have and her being in Japan had no influence on it. But he almost tried to feed her with the answer that he thought was right.
And his question about who divorced whom was ridiculous. What the hell was he thinking to establish from that question? Does it even matter who divorced whom?
And again when she said she works in a restaurant, why does he need to know exactly what she does? Does her being a custodian make him feel good about himself?
His questions like I said were very unprofessional, and intruding into Gauri Malla's private life. He sounded more like a housewife who would love to gossip and pass rumors around than an established interviewer.

Well, VK as interviewer, and Guari Malla as an interviewee in this program cearly depicts the failing Nation Nepal. On a second thoguht, what more to expect from this program? I think that's all we get from our nepali program on TV.

One thing really struck me.... Gauri Malla learnt a hard lesson, and yes, she learnt it very well and that's why she boldly told : YES, she is going back to Japan to continue the work. I appreciate her answers though.

Oh and his question about her looks and telling her how not good looking she was and she still managed to be one of the top actresses. He was contradicting himself in many occasions. And the questions were quite humilitating. This really shows ike Karmarana said the state out country and the mind of our people are.

i watched the first part only. And I agree with bidhan here. So what does a media perso supoosed to talk with gauri malla? about philosophy, politics???? She is out of nepali cinema for long now and there is no point talking about her old films too much, so what do u expect? have u guys ever watched britney spears or angelina jolie interviews on cnn or nbc? dont they ask too many personal things?

The reason why Gauri Malla agreed to appear in the interview is perhaps is she wanted to convey message to Nepalese women from her experiences. But the interviewer VK really screwed up and he failed to achieve this.

Many common people may not get the messages that should be derived from this interview. But believe me, there are many facts embedded in this interview. It depicts the true state of Nepal, and where we are.

well if you go back in history 10-12 years and you will know why vijay kumar has been famous for. he became famous because he was blunt, to the point and and always tries out to find out to take the truth out. now he has become too soft spoken and you say he has been more persuasive.

belive it or not, when you call cine artist it is more important for any interviewr to find out about their private life because thats what most people are interested in.

The climax: when she sat down to eat the FIRST staff lunch.

Philosophy: When she sat alone there on the bench and no passerby bother who she is.

Dedication: She is going back to Japan to resume the work. She doesn't care what the Fug people in Nepal will say about this.

Reality: She needs to work now, since she is aging. This is the time to earn some money for future. This is not a time to fool around. This lesson goes to Nepali politics too. We are fugging delaying everything in Nepal in political arena as well. We need to secure the future of new generation. We need to sacrifice NOW not in future.

Status of Woman: The poem speaks for it. It suggests lot has to be done in Nepal for women. And it's surprising the epople in Nepal COMPLETELY disregard the uplift of women from whom they were born.

Her tears: Do you wanna see that tears from all women of Nepal? Think about it.

Somebody got to remind vijay kumar THE INTERVIEW WITH AMITABH BACCHAN episode..damn...somebody needs to snub him like Big B did... his career was almost over after that interview and he did vanished for a long period of time...Now he is back and trying to bully some nepali actress.....he still hasnt learned his lesson !!!
