Every time I peep in sajha, there’s always been hysterical discussion about Racism, Castism and the ISM (whatever they are). Not only that, it is so embarrassing to open some of the threads in the public..Not to mention the derogatory words.. I never understood if ppl dun have self-respect as well as respect for others or just are from the Ghetto (the mentality). But I think its slap in our face to talk about these ISM(S) and not trying to find the solutions. If we want to solve the ongoing problems based on the castes and creeds, I think we should change ourselves first. I agree with BORNFREE that every one is trying to take make racism and discrimination as the ladder for his/her own benefits whether its political/social/individual…. But, hello what abt Jantas…and we are the ppl who have THE power if recognized and utilized wisely. It is so sad though to see ppl in sajha fighting over nothing..tryin to prove how low they can go instead of uniting and acting like humans. It’s the serious issue and if not handled with extreme precaution, we will not even get time to regret in future. Just my 2 cents… Aneesha

Yes it is true.... In sajha, there is lots of topic in racism, discrimination, castism.... It is not bad .... It is democratic freedom country. Nobody cross the line.... It is reality of suppression of Rana, Chettris and Bahun... which is obsultely unfair to all Nepalese people. All national highest corruption and crimes belong to Chettris, Bahuns and Rana. There is no doubt on it.

I agree... In Nepal, After Rana regime collapsed Chettris and Bahun rule Nepal which is 2nd WAVE of darkest age of Nepal. Chettris and Bahuns created as well as implemented Racism, Discrimination, social and political suppression to native tribes of Nepal. Loot at reality.... 99% Chettris and Bahuns work in Nepali government offices, government institutions and political parties. Rest of native Nepalese people left behind. It is not that they just did not want... because it is Chettris and Bahuns Racial discrimination in all sectors like education, political, employment and social. How come Chettris and Bahuns have 95% opportunities and other Nepalese tribes do have opportunities in education, employment and political participation. It is straight and obvious fact of racial discrimination by Bahuns and Chettris in Nepal. Even any Nepali street dog must understand that.... Is not it?

Aneesha or Amanisha, I agree with what you say. It is our mentality and trend of thought that we must first change if we want to bring about any change in nepal. But it is also necessary to keep the discussion front of the "ISMS" in conjunction with your desired change that you want to bring about. As much as the power of action is eminent in bringing about a change, it is usually and historically followed by a long period of speech, contemplation, generation and regeneration of ideas, sharing of such ideas, change in minds of the young people. It is absolutely necessary to remain aware at all times with the general consensus of people's either stagnant or ever growing thought process. Without the input of the people and knowledge of their needs WHAT ACTION DO YOU WANT TO TAKE? And you talk about the POWER OF PEOPLE. COME ON. We as a nation have not been able to do jacksheet since democracy or even before that. If anything the gap of inequality is rising expediently every single second. Is that why there came a situation in which the Maoists had to be created? It is precisely BECAUSe of the lack of power among the people, we have such radical groups rising and winning the hearts and minds of people in the rest of nepal. As for the Capital, OBviously every one hates the maos becuase ITS THEIR LAND AND MONEY AT STAKE. But yes i still maintain your trend of thought. Change must come amongst us. How do you plan to do that Miss? Please do enlighten me. BCoffee, I think you dont drink enough bathroom coffee to wake u up... THere's TOO MUCH DISCRIMINATION WAKE UP or do you just plain choose to be ignorant? If its a choice then god be with you. If not, I strongly suggest a stronger stimulant than Coffee.

Yes discrimination of Nepalese is not limited to our idiotic divisive approach, instead of united stance, look at the break down, there is no sub breakdwon for Nepalese, that is how they are seen. KHADC crack down on unregistered migrant labourers By Our Reporter SHILLONG: The Enforcement Wing of the KHADC has detected a large number of migrant labourers coming from other states including some from Bangladesh and Nepal during its ongoing checking at Iewduh here. According to sources, around 3000 unregistered labourers from outside the State were found engaged in various jobs in the market since the operation started on August 1 and most of them were either fined or registered by the Enforcement Wing authorities. Sources said during the operation, it was found that 40 percent of the non-tribal labourers were Nepalis, 30 percent Biharis, 15 percent Tripuris and five percent were suspected of being Muslims from Bangladesh. The overall figure will be made available after completion of the current drive. The operation would be conducted in other parts of the city, including the residential areas where mixed population is high, authorities said, while appealing to the people including genuine non-tribal residents to extend cooperation in identifying unregistered migrant labourers in their areas.
