OK...Prasant is fine. We love him but who the F$$K is Raghav.
Now I'm disappointed and slowly considering the fact that Prasant is Indian after all, which didn't matter to me in the past. I'm sure the organizers want to attract Indian+Nepali audience. Nepalese have sold Nepal for the money, so I'm not surprised with the mentality. In the name of money, the show is called "Nepali" show when everybody and eveything is Indian. What a shame.
Man, when are we going to free ourself from from being Indians' slave?
*the dude looks so gay in the picture. It might be the fashion in London, but it's considered gay her in the US.

C'mon man...The concert in NYC is being held at the Beacon Theater. Do you know how much that costs? They gotta recuperate that cost by making this an event for all peeps from the Sub-continent who watched II3. BTW, The Beacon is where most major US bands and artists have performed as well. This is indeed a BIG day for Nep artists here in NYC.
If the organizers only looked for a Nepali market, then yeah, Prashant alone would do fine and his concert could be done at the Armenian Church on 32nd and 2nd in Manhattan (where it is usually done)...But since Prashat is the "Indian Idol", a large dhoti tuurnout too is expected as the Indians here know him as well as we Neps do. This is a mega event unlike the Nima Rumba and Sabin Rai concerts that have taken place here and as any business man here would know, the profit potential is enormous...On a lighter note, Raju lama is scheduled to perform at the event too. However, for all you patriotic zealots, this event is being promoted as a solely Nepali event (but the Indians are invited to attend too).

Raghav is Dhoti born In Canada living in London. By the way Prashant is Kinda Dhoti too. He has got Indian passport and was Born in India (Darjeeling). You can call him Nepali Dhoti. It will be good cocktail show between Nepali Dhoti and Canadian Dhoti. Enjoy guys.
And where the hell Raju Lama come from, I thought he dissapeared from his previous visit and his sponsored were looking for him? Will he be arrested thern if he has violated the immigration rule?

samsara,
What does it matter to you.?You've called a tibetan as Nepali (remember-Himalayan Kid-who killed a white woman), now you're up to adopt an Indian. Dude,I'm pretty sure you're not a Nepali.I know the business and the logic behind the show.I'm just venting my fraustation that after seeing the Pop Up of Prasant here for days, Nepali all over the world supporting the II3 for its victory, some Nepali (in NY) cannot sleep, eat without making tons of money out of our identity, pride or sentiments(u might say that way). That's all. If you think I'm being irrational, I'm sorry.
To the question whether Raju willbe arrested, only of immigration officials show up for the show. The organizers who brought him here will do NOTHING. It's all set up, again another case of making money.
Drunken Monkey-"who the F**K this Raghav? Is he Dotti or nepali?" Exactly...these days we cannot tell the difference. We're becoming Indian, and not the other way around.

Rasta man, I called the Himalayan Tib kid Nepali?? WTF?? Read the whole thread and see if I ever said he was Nepali....I called him a Nepali speaking kid. Now see the difference. BTW, what are you here for? Either education or working to making money, ain't it? Both ways, its ultimately to find a job that pays ya good (All about money, ain't it?). So, if these enterprising organizers are doing the same, why are you cribbing? I think we have better issues at hand than labelling peeps as being dhoti or hating black peeps (in some other thread) and what have yous here. And finally, listen, your foolish likes say that you're pretty sure I'm not a Nepali? Well, do some research and find out in which district if Nepal were peeps first given passoports to go abroad (when our borders first opened to the rest of the world in the 60s). A bit of Nepali trivia for you...My ancestors and I am from the district (If you're thinking Ktm, go smack your head and do some more thorough reading). Look who's talking about Nepalipan now.
And King Tut, few of the same peeps who brought him here are among those organizing the Prashant event here. BTW, why da fug would he even be arrested? He has applied for permanant residency legally now and is on path to getting his coveted Green Card! The INS could suck on his kneecaps for all I know of! If this matters to you or not, on a more historic note, Raju Lama even sang at the Congress when the Dalai Lama was awarded the congressional medal a few months ago. Can an illegal immigrant have such close access to the Prez and the whole congress? C'mon, the INS/DHS would've arrested him then, ain't it??

Why can't people for a change enjoy music as is; irrespective of all those nagging '????'s lurking in your minds ?
Has anyone tried organising an event and strived to at least reach the break even point ? If you haven't you'll never understand the various costs involved in hosting an event . We people are an ungrateful bunch. Rather than being thankful to those people who are trying to make this show a success here we are cribbing about Prashant and Raghav's identity, the moneymaking tactics of the organisers and the blah blah blah's right up there . We always like to find fault in others and if we don't find one we dig for one!
YES if you've invested you want profit. Business 101 !! There's nothing wrong in it.
Just go and enjoy music for music's sake else stay home and "wallow in self pity"
