When I started visiting Sajha there used to be a lot of informative things. Actually I used to visit Sajha so as to get some information about different matters, ideas and specially hot news form NEPAL. Nowadays it is not worth clicking the page. All we have is nonsense threads, offensive pictures and videos, conflicts between the users, racism and on top of that whole crap.
I think the charm isn't same now. Is Sajha loosing its identity and originality.

I am glad that at one point you used to find a lot of informative things in sajha. It is unfortunate that you feel it's not worth clicking the page these days. Well, sajha is what you and other users make out of it. It is the combined voice of the general people who visit the site and that's what makes it sajha in my opinion. Sajha does not aim to be a top site which gives out news from Nepal or top information site. It aims to provide a sajha cyber location where anyone is free to participate and exercise their freedom of speech. We cannot require a certain IQ level before joining and posting in sajha. If we required a certain IQ level then probably it would meet your expectations but then it would not be sajha anymore.

We cannot reflect what we are not. This is a good reflection on Nepali mentality and our intellectual state of affair. It is a good place to test the patriotism of Nepalis who profess to love Nepal, and rile against India without much thought. Sajha is a true reflection of Nepali diasporas indulged in tongue-patriotism-all hat no cattle in US parlance.

hey san, increase the bandwidth, and change this forum into a bbs looking site...also ban those thread asking to search for h1-b, VINs / programming issues..or move them to a separate forum

But I hate when they post pictures of people (girls) from hi5 and facebook and other social networking places. They look like private photos. Although photos posted in those places are public property, if that could be reduced that would be great.

Can you do one thing for us? If creator of a thread is flagged or creator deleted his post, then can that post be deleted as a whole. I think it will make some sense for those threads if you do this.

I appreciate much for addressing my query here. Sajha as said is devoted to the welfare of the community (sabai nepali ko sajha), and said so everyone has right to post whatever he/she wants to express but my whole concern is to make one know the responsibility towards the community after being attached to it. And I think your expression is a kind of rude here. I am not saying Sajha is a news site or information site. I was trying to let you know my personal feeling  (may be of another hundreds) about the path it is following nowadays, I am not pointing to a particular thread. Freedom of speech and free participation doesnt mean that anything can be expressed anywhere.  Being a regular viewer I think I have that much right to speak how I feel about how it is going nowdays. Rest, its all yours.

My  intention was not to be rude and any negative perception is regretted. Over the years there have been many comments and suggestions which have made sajha into a better site. There are many aspects of human behavior that we witness here in sajha and we have to take it with a grain of salt and with the belief and knowledge that if any perverse activities are continued here then action will be taken against such incidents. As I have mentioned quite a few times, I want to be lenient and hope that any perverse activity is only a one time/two time thing that will go away with time and self realization. But, if a user continues to blatantly ignore human values of decency and continue their perverse acts in a habitual basis then action will be taken and has been taken.

San, while I agree with you that Sajha, by its very nature, takes its own course based on the usage of unmoderated user base, I also believe that certain basic modicum of decency and etiquette should be expected by all and especially by you because you are the owner and have inherent interest in keeping this site attractive to users who are from all walks of life.  Hoina ra?

I agreed with Riten one point. It's need some moderate features as an administrator/owner, so that people may not create such type of rumor, non-sense issues in the future. In general some of people are really getting benefits from Sajha.com. Therefore, either you have to moderate such type thread posting or 10 users can be flaged and delete all the posting made by such users. It's kind of alert and create more sensative while posting thread in the forum in the future.
