I do not prefer wealth I prefer happiness and peace. Although wealth may support for happiness to some extent but it can not play the leading role in happiness. We have seen many many wealthy people in miserable conditions in different ways and some even have taken their own lives with frustration and depression. We have seen many wealthy families destroyed and read about such news everyday. However a reasonable amount of money for daily life to raise family is necessary but happiness is the attitude of the persons concerned depending upon his education, social environment etc. We should always try to be happy and peaceful with no unneccessary tension, anger and jealousy all the time towards one another. We should follow " be happy and make happy"
i prefere wealth any day.... Wealth is the Key to happiness. in my opinion people just say happiness is important cause they have been taught to say that and it does not come out of their real experiences.
Well, wealth might not be the no. 1 thing but, its for sure, up there....so, just a thought, "I would rather be rich and unhappy, rather than broke and happy.."
This is a childish question. Something like asking a child if they like their father or mother more.
Obviously both wealth and happiness are important. You can also add health to the mix.
Unless you are the buddha himself you will need some sort of wealth backing up for your worldly needs such as food, shelter and clothes. and why wouldn't anyone want happiness? ask yourself if there could be anyone who would prefer to be unhappy.
A good question to ask would be " why do people ask dumb question?" another one "why do people answer dumb questions?"
Well, they go together. The existence of one without the other is very unfunctional. "vanchan ni nepali ma - 1 gada ka 2 paiyya". We all know wealth can bring happiness, however, it cannot buy happiness. What I believe is wealth and happiness cannot be compared. Wealth in one hand is definite, we all know what it is and its importance. On the othet hand happiness is vague, it has not defination and doesn't apply with the same effect on any two or more individual. What i mean to say is, happiness is specific to time and people. But, to end I would rather prefer a whole lot of happiness with enough wealth than a whole lot of wealth with enough happiness. (enough happiness or enough wealth ?????? hard to draw a line here what is enough)
"with money comes happiness" -- true, But to a certain extent and what sorts of happiness...? and how much?
"poverty is the mother of conflicts" -- do you think we can reverse that? and say conflicts brings poverty or more briefly, they are the cyclic effects and results.
