HussainKhan, I wish I could read the Nepali script but it's all chinese to me. Something to do about TOEFL? If you're asking about the Test of English as a Foriegn Language, there are many resources that you can use in the internet.

@Kuhire: where are you from again ?? shouldn't you have a better knowledge of why they don't wear underwear since you are there are there at the village doing health related work.

I think Nepali women are sexy, if they like they can have sex where ever they want such as Pandhero ma, Goth ma, jungle ma, khet ko kanla muni and many more placess.....so its easy and hasselless. If they wear it is uneasy and uncomfortable hehe  hehe :)

My grandmother is Irish and she says even her grandmother used to wear underwear. I did not distinguish between village and city because most of nepal is villages but of course most city dwellers think they represent the real nepali people. It's an irony.

Kuhire, thank you for helping poor villagers in Nepal. Two years is definitely a long time. Sadly and quiet honestly i would say most people who come to sajha might not have stayed two years in Nepali villages, most of us in here are from the capital so pardon us if we can't provide exact reply to your query.As far as not wearing underwear goes may be it's cuz they don't feel comfortable, or they may not know about underwear or they would rather buy food than underwear, or maybe the people u came across didn't wear one, could be any reason. Seriously, you spent two years there, you closely monitored the problems,poverty and cultural difference in the villages and u still can't guess why wouldn't they wear underwear?

I think Kuhire is referring to women who wear petticoat (पेटिकोट).  Correct me ladies, if I am wrong.  But i also think women wearing petticoat in Nepal do not wear underwear, especially old fashion women in villages??????????????  Now this is getting talks of perverts!  i am too embarassaed to repond here..

they always wear outfit that covers everything. this does not apply to the women (especially young girls...........)  of big city...

Yes madhesi most women in villages wear petticoat and those are who I was referring to. Some of you guys are tripping out as if I asked why Nepalese women don't shave.

Simply because they do not know that underwear exists..... I do not think your ancestor used to wear underwear....
