 I've never been attached with any political party but think though politicians in Nepal exploded their financial portfolio, they did something for country too. Not like us who escaped to foreign land in search of 'better life' and 'green dollar'.

Girija might have earned billions in last 20 years, but he fought for over 4-5 decades before that without any gurantee or warantee of being anything in future. Same for many of those politicians.

He led the people and the country... fought for years ... spent countless years in darkness of prision ... and made some fortune for himself too .... which sounds ironic but is kind of compulsion in all developing countries... not only nepal. 

Its people like us in the US and around who cannot suffer mere shortage of fuel, water or electricity.  There are people who still want to be back and do 'something'.

And I don't blame people for migrating for success and happiness. My father migrated from his village to KTM I migrated from KTM to the US. But once we 'give-up' and escape, we lose our right to comment and critique those who stayed behind.

If we want we can try to help but I don't think can say 'he didn't do it for Nepal'.

Did you see the no. of  followers of girija, when his party alone demonstrate against king ( it was like about 100-500 people )

He is responsible because he hold the key( government ) as many years as we got democracy.
We are responsible, because we did not stop them repeating same mistakes
We are responsible because we failed to stop them doing whatever they want
we are responsible because we couldn't stop girija repeating to lead country, without any vision, any skills and just with his baseless statements, indian back force. and blind followers.

We are also responsible for present situation of nepal, I agree  we are bad childrens of motherland.

Dav, Girija was among them who were fighting against anarchist/ monarchist or whatever for the democracy, he was also among them spending well over 8 years in jail for the democracy, he was also among those who risked their life fighting in the street for the democracy.

But you were nowhere with them during all those days, incidents. Now you are here to say Die Girija Die!  ?? where did you get this rights to speak against someone who fought for your democracy? I agree when  you respected martyrs, but Girija was one of the living martyr for us. He was just an inch away from those bullets that took the lives of many and became martyr. Where were you at that time? where were your family at that time? what did you do when people were shot and killed in the street? were you listening the news of people being martyr out there in the radio??? 

you listed your name NOWHERE!!!  you have not spoken/ fought just for a microsecond of your past for the country, so you have ZERO rights to speak against any of the leaders back in nepal!!!  

whatever you have done so far is only for you and your family, you can speak as much as you want within your family issues. 

anyways, could you please list a single thing that you have done for the country here in sajha? (to prove yourself the one who can ask about the credibility of any of the leaders back in nepal), if there is none, you are just an another crackhead walking in the street.

 

Why you only see girija?
there were thousands of people during demonstration, shouting slogans and were ready to take bullets. Do you even know 2 peoples name who died on any jana andolans.
Did your Girija, ever tried to know them or tried to fulfill what they died for?
Do you see any good work done by him for our motherland or us?
We are not politicians? they are the ones who promised and begged us for position, so they will take care of country and serve nepali .
I am one in those thousands, whom people like u or media don't care about. if each and every peoples of nepal will start doing politics then who will take care of other jobs. everyone is doing something for country. The money I sent to nepal, also creates some kind of national income.
Don't think only leaders care for country,
doctors, teachers, ,officers , business man, everyone is serving country in different way.

I understand what Girija did for democracy. He sacrificed a lot. But it's true that he could not live upto his promise after he went to government. He couldn't lead his party and country well. Anyway I'm not affiliated to any party and I just want Nepal to be prosperous and peaceful. Democarcy in Nepal as of today is far worse than dictatorship. In my opinion king Mahendra in a real hero of Nepal. He was nationalist and did everything good for the country and was able to blow India's face.

My example was analogous to your concept.
