With you all here. If Tiananmen Square repeats in Kathmandu, so be it. People who do not believe in democracy like the Maoists are misusing it's platform to impose tatalinarism in Nepal.

I googled anti-maoist and i dont think anyone has created one yet. I will do it and put some time into it. Can anyone suggest me a name for the website. i will register the domain asap.

Sorry to say guys, we are just a tiny few helpless people who are barking here in Sajha. The situation in Nepal as reported by some of my friends is just TERRIBLE. Including Kathmandu as a whole, big leaders are in the highest security ever seen in Nepal. Unfortunate, but most of my countrymates are "bhedas"...just know to run after others. They just don't use brain, Remember either the Hritick Roshan kanda or those who don't eat chicken at home fearing of bird flu and fight for a drumstick when provided free by chicken producers. Not to mention an increasing group runing after Gyane mailo. Prachandabadis are proven ones to attract bhedas, and that's gonna happen again. Just wait n see......nothingz gonna be good soon in our lovlely nepal.

Chana tarkari You used to give full support to Seven Party Alliance and Maoist. Now you are seeing the consequences. Great job that you finally realized that politicial theory does not work in practice because a lot more is involved.

grgDai, You are simply wrong. I have never supported maoist and their political ideology. I support the issue of federal restructuring of Nepal. Some people misunderstand the issues as the maoist issue just because they have pushed this issue stronger than other parties. Those people, who think the federal restructuring is a maoist issue, simply forget that all parties (except Kamal Thapa's RPP) agreed on this very issue when they launched the interim constitution of New Nepal. I have no doubt that the maoist party is offering lip-service only for political benefit without a serious effort to solve the complicated issues. With time our understanding and perceptions change. I was surprised when Madhav Nepal lost election from his both constituencies, and candidates like Prachanda/Gachchedar/Yadav bagged overwhelming votes. I considered MKN as a better person than GPK but now it is apparently clear that MKN is the most incompetent person in Nepal. His voters knew exactly that long before his real test. My support to seven party alliance was for demolishing the autocratic unitary regime of Shah-Rana elite. The way Gyanendra ruled the country was a hopeless exercise. We did not know the truth behind SPA, the original hindi version of their 12-pt agenda, etc. etc. which is now totally exposed. I did not support SPA since the day Bijukche revealed the fact behind Delhi-summit to the public, and no one dared to reject it. It is unfortunate to get cheated so wildly by the SPA but I still do not support Gyanendra and co. either. All of them are wolves of different color. In this thread, I am venting anger against the maoist coercion, which is pushing the public toward a huge grief. You should realize that the majority of the public are maoist voters. Perhaps they are happy to provide logistics or perhaps they have no choice than to support maoist. Whatever be the reason, I see the long term consequences (mass immigration, further degradation of environment, and more urban crimes) are unavoidable. I am sad none of the political forces are serious enough for positive development and seeking a solution. All of them are wolves of different color. Now, we need a new wave of people, like the one atomic mentioned above.

Chana tarkari It is good that you realized that you placed your hope on the wrong bunch. Obviously there is not a single desirable option when it comes to politics in Nepal so you are left with choosing the better of the worse. Of course monarchy came with it's own flaws, but when you have to compare monarchy vs maoist, I think a clear winner is monarchy. Monarchy never exploited and extorted as much as maoist did in the few years they have been operational. This is a hypothetical comparision at its best because monarchy is a thing of the past but people like yourself are responsible for the support that Maoist got which led to the toppling of monarchy and for this you deserve a big congratulations. Welcome now to maoist extortions.

What is Nepali Govt doing in the mean time to protect its citizens from this atrocity ? Nothing. Therefore we the citizens are left to fend for ourselves. Lessons of history... when people are pushed and shoved to brink of tolerance same thing will happen to them as it did to the Monarchy. They are walking on thin ice but donn't seem to recognise that. Look at Aparthied, The British Colonies, The USSR. We all know what happens when you push the very people you are supposed to serve. If they keep up with these antics their days are numbered.

But at last I thought I will write. Here it comes. > > > > I was attending the interaction program organized by Maoist Chairman and Vice Chairman with the business people on 23rd April at their party head quarter Paris Dada Koteshwor. The program was attended by about 80 people of different organizations like, FNCCI, CNI, Chamber, NBA and different business organizations. > > > > In that meeting Chairman of Maoist Leader said only two things in his 45 minutes speech > > > > 1. Talk to your local near people and make some sort of security plans. Don't only depend on government security. 6. Keep little extra cash at home. Now I understand why all the private schools are closed.
Maoist influx strains Valley lodgings, veg supply
Om Astha RaiKATHMANDU, April 28: With the
influx of Maoist cadres into Kathmandu Valley for what their leaders
say is a decisive war, the capital´s floating population has gone up,
affecting its already-insufficient lodging capacity and vegetable
supplies.
Going by the Maoists´ own statements, over 300,000 cadres are likely to
inter the Valley within this week. According to Narayan Dahal,
secretary of the Maoist Newa State Committee which is tasked with
arranging food and accommodation, cadres have already started arriving
in the Valley. "All cadres will come into the Valley by the day before
May 1", he told.
The Maoist cadres, who arrived in Kathmandu from surrounding districts,
have occupied public halls, schools and under-construction buildings.
While district-level leaders are staying at lodges, Maoist cadres have
taken shelter at public buildings.
The most suitable places for Maoist cadres to stay seem to be private
schools, which were forcibly shut down by the party´s student wing--All
Nepal National Free Students Union-Revolutionary (ANNFSU-R)--on the
pretext of protesting a fee hike. They have threatened the owners of
the private schools to keep mum about their occupying the schools.
The Maoist leadership, Dahal says, has instructed their cadres to avoid
sheltering in private schools. But this seems merely perfunctory. Most
of them have chosen private schools as appropriate shelter.
The Private And Boarding Schools´ Organization of Nepal (PABSON) has
disclosed that more than half a dozen schools have already been
occupied by Maoist cadres. "Some school owners have informed me that
Maoist cadres have taken shelter in their schools," Rajesh Khadka,
President of PABSON, told Republica. "But I cannot disclose their names
for some security reasons."
Similarly, the price of vegetables has gone up alarmingly in the Valley
thanks to the huge inflow of Maoist cadres. Tomatoes, which were just
Rs 18-20 per kg in the past week, are now anything between Rs 18-35.
"Prices of all vegetables have gone up," says Bharat Khatiwada,
president of the Vegetable Wholesalers´ Association (VWA).
According to Khatiwada, the Valley´s daily demand for vegetables has
also increased. Usually, Kathmandu Valley consumes about 1,000 metric
tons of vegetable. But now the Valley is facing a vegetable crunch in
spite of ample imports. "Maoists are buying vegetables in bulk,"
Khatiwada says. "But we do not know the exact figure."
Maoist sources say that cadres entering the Valley from nearby
districts have been told to bring along light blankets. They will be
provided mats and pillows. The party will serve them Nepali meals and
dry food. "They will stay in the Valley so long as our general strike
continues," Dahal said. The Maoists have publicly vowed to deploy
500,000 cadres in the Valley.
