Now I substituted home made momo to Trader's joe prepacked dumping. It may not give you the same satisfaction but if you make real tasty chatani, some thing is better than nothing. Chatani is the combination of amilo piro, nunilo, aduwa lasun dhaniya and besaar. I had chatani that was made of rice. I thought it was potato's.

Man gone are those good old days when I used to go to Himalayan Aroma at least once everyday when Mohan dai and Gurung dai used to manage that store. It's been a year I haven't been there and I would not either until I get bill of fare for my money. Must be good food for lower price, good customer service, waitress need to quit throwing attitudes. And the most important thing: when you ask for water instead of soda or lassi, don't give em tap (nasty and warm) water. Come on at Wal mart you can buy a gallon for 88 cents and not necessarily everybody asks you for water (most order soda).

First of all your motto is to attract many and diversified customers not only Nepali. Know and teach what is "customer and how you serve them" and we are bias on the color skin and we think it is okay to show tantrum/attitude to Nepali customer. Man you not charging differently than the white color customer, do you? You are not in Nepal but in TX, change your attitude. Yes, you want to push sell coke or other beverages because you will be making money, but go to other restaurant ask water and what they do? Do they serve you from the tap then all restaurants uses tap water still you can upgrade and may cost you 5 - 10 cents per glass ( if bought in bulk) but you can make it if that customer comes with his family or friends, think you made extra bucks there. What if s/he does not visit , O additional profit and bad advertisement vs free advertisement. Customer services must not be poor, it is the second most reason to revisit your restaurant after the test of the food you had served. I would not visit again if not treated as other customers and you can not complain you not making good money. SERVE BETTER FOOD WITH EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, RESTAURANT ENVIRONMENT CAN NOT BE IGNORED.

I don't think you guys been in Himalayan aroma after new management . We always have filtered water and displays is right in front of you so first find out what the truth is before saying anything. As of costumer service our nepali staff there is trying we have new staff there so it takes time even you guys who is asking for good service were you that f Good when you started that new job? So I think we'll get better in service but for taste of food I think we have the best Nepali food . Thank you

If just saying stuff even that is not true is good than I can say it's your choice but somebody lies about my business then I feel bad and will show the truth even I loose some costumer who are just saying lies .

If you are owner then know this I was among those customers who used to drop by this Restaurant once a day with my different friends but now things has changed customer service is Poor whatever you say food taste has changed . This is weak point with many Nepali business people in US once their business is good they start showing up their attitude " who gives fk if i loose one person" . Do you know how much it will hamper your business i used to have 4-5 friends always with me non of them prefer to go there now they better like to cook at home and enjoy instead of going there .

As I said if food is bad if you want to complain than I am sorry but if somebody says things that is not true that hurt reputation our cook has changed so there is new taste I understand if anybody Does not Like that but saying a tap water to a filter water is a different thing I am just trying to promote our new prices that's all thank you .

I worked at Restaurant Business for 9 years. I've done everything from waitress, cook, prep chef, cashier, bartender, manager so I know the ins and out of Restaurant Business. I've worked at Fast Foods, Starbucks, Restaurants, Bars. I would like to say is no matter how you feel and what your thoughts are, you have to treat customers with respect, and make them feel like they are lawsy right. I know this sounds wrong but that's how you treat each and every single customers that come into you business. Each customer is bringing in more and more profit. Everyone walking into a restaurant wants Good Food and Good Service and that's not that hard to provide. All you have to do is have a big smile on your face and always make customers feel comfortable.

my experience with Himalayan a week ago from today goes like this:
a friend n I went there for dinner. were hungry and wanted to have our stomach full more than anything. so with a good reason we both ordered thali. chiken thali n veg thali. two glasses of water. i cannot tell the difference between tap water or filtered water, so i ll assume it was filtered.
the server was nice, sweet lady, however, probably lacks experience. the food came out in decent time. if compared with the same thali when javish dai was there, i would say the old one was much better; this one was alright, I would still chose nepali thali over anything else though. i had the chicken thali and my fren had veg thali with aalu tama. I must admit Aalu Tama was better than before, and way ahead of my chicken curry. owing to my hunger, i finished my rice before my friend did, which usually is not the norm :p i would ve liked if the server asked me if i wanted to add something before i had actually finished, but here even after i did, she was nowhere near the table. not a biggie, i asked her if i could add some rice and some daal, and so she did. and then a while later my frens plate turned empty too. the same thing; wait a while with an empty plate just to get some more, although the restaurant was almost empty. The server went to kichen with the order, and I think the chef actually gave us a look from inside the kitchen (prolly because it was the second trip)!! this time she brought some rice, but no dal, coz they were cooking some. by the time dal came out, the rice was already cold. the daal was hurriedly prepared, and was all "thick n thin".
I dont know if the prices changed within this week, but we paid a total of $21 plus change for two thalis. plus $5 tip, which according to me was actually generous given the story.
Niroj Dai, I am JUST a customer. Dont take my review personally, but hopefully will implement some professionality. I am not in favor of coming back to Aroma, but since the owner is right here in the forum and I have shared my experience, I will look for a better experience in near future.
