5 days and counting!!! Are you guys ready?
NFL Pick’em 2011 is here !!!
Please visit http://sajha.com/sajha/html/sportsprediction.cfm?yearid=9f3b41db-c516-467e-a36d-340ff0073c57 to make your predictions. Week 1 is up for picks.
This is my first year trying to set up the picks and I plan to have the picks ready to be made by Tuesday of every week. If something goes wrong, please bear with me.
Here are some interesting points to consider in my opinion.
With the offseason acquisition of Ochocinco and Hayesworth, are the Patriots superbowl bound ?
Can Rex Ryan and the Jets finally make it all the way?
Can the Ravens finally overpower the Steelers?
Are Bengals going for a 0-16 season with Andy Dalton as a starter?
Is it finally the year for the Texans to get to their first postseason?
How much trouble Colts are in if Manning does not start Week 1?
Can Chiefs repeat last year’s success or are the Chargers going to claim their division crown back?
Eagles – superbowl or bust?
Can the Cowboys or Giants get back to post season?
Are Packers bound for a repeat? Can the Bears repeat last year’s success? Or is it finally the Lion’s year?
Are Saints superbowl bound or do Falcons have some other idea? How is Cam Newton gonna perform?
Is it the year of Kevin Kob or Sam Bradford?
I personally support Minnesota Vikings and I feel they have a long season ahead. Anyways Go VIkes !!!
Keep your opinions flowing!!!
Can’t wait for the opener!!!

Thanks Sparrow for putting this up for the season.
I think bengals, 49ers, bills and panthers would compete for the worst.
Packers, falcons, saints, eagles look great on NFC. Cowboys and Tampa bay can spoil anybody's party anytime.
on AFC side, patriots, jets, steelers, Ravens, chargers, colts look good. Texan may steal the division this year.
Chicago and kansas were the surprising teams last year...lets see who comes out this season? May be LIONS ????
MY MVP pick is Phillip Rivers.
You may not believe but COWBOYS GONNA WIN THE SUPERBOWL THIS YEAR.......go boys!!!!!!

This season gonna b very interestin coz of no offseason. whichever team can keep out of the injuries will go for long run. Being a Cowboy fan, i see some light this yr under new head coach n def. coordinator RR. Only concern is def. Offense gonna b good coz of miles n dez. Eagles r buster. they good on paper. its game players play n win nt there names.

I believe VIKINGS gonna steal the show this season. No one is talking about the vikings but they are a pretty strong team with Mcnab as the quarterback, big papa peterson as rb and a pretty strong defensive line up. Not to forget the likes of harvin, shiancoe and rudolf, who can tear apart any defense in the NFL. Superbowl is ours this time.
GO VIKESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

Teabow is not even the backup in Denver...last i heard he was 3rd string QB backup in that team..he is pretty horrible.
I predict Jets flying high this season and winning the AFC east title over the Patriots and losing in the playoffs to either Ravens or Steelers yet again...plaxico will gain some stride but not as much. I think Steelers are still the team to beat this season in the AFC as they are the only team that has very little change. In the NFC the top teams are hard to choose, Packers Saints Falcons Eagles i don't even want to waste time picking NFC west teams as they have quite a way to catch up on the elite NFC teams.
Playoff teams: AFC: Steelers, Ravens(wildcard), Jets, Patriots (wildcard), Chargers and Texans.
NFC: Packers, Falcons, Saints (wildcard), Cardinals, Eagles, Giants (wildcard)

chaurey Bro,
I personally dont think Atlanta will be able to replicate theor last season's success this year. They had a real easy schedule last year and they were lucky as well ( Remember that last play against the 49ers at Georgia Dome). At beast, they will get a wildcardspot. Saints will definitely win NFC south.
Also, Jets have lost a few of their key veteran players on defense due to salary cap restrictions. So, their chances of winning AFC east are slim.

Reminder to all of you make your picks if you have not done it already. You can change your pick up to 1 hour before the game starts.
Hoping for a cracker of an opening game and New Orleans Vicotry !!!

JackSparrow: I have a hard time picking the AFC east division winner, could swing either way...Jets or Pats. i just think Rex Ryan will edge Bill Belichik this year with the addition of Plaxico and support from santonio holmes. I know Jets got hell lucky last season winning almost 5 regular season games that they were sure to lose. Either way Jets-Patriots, Steelers-Ravens and Steelers-Patriots are few of the games i am looking forward to watching. and of course if Peyton returns in time...the annual Brady-Manning bowl in Foxboro will be the most anticipated game to watch.
As for the Falcons....i would think the addition of Julio Jones will make a difference to that already powerful offense. i am expecting a break out season for the rookie.....plus he is in my fantasy football team. that saints-falcons matchup will be good offensive game to look forward to...expecting at least 30+ point offensive firework when these two teams meet up.

Sparrow, why cant I see home and away team this time? I assume the right sides are home. Also it takes a while to save the selection. I dont think it has the same glitch as in the first year when it was possible to change the selection if you keep the browser open for a while during the game. Good luck to all but dont score more than mine. Also can you upload few more schedule? I dont know whether I can select from Nepal. If it's too messy than that's fine.
And on the game side, everybody is saying that this season is most injury prone and everyone can be unpredictable due to null offseason work out. And hopefully 'Boys will snatch the opportunity.
And do you guys know how can I watch NFL in Nepal other than online sites? Any tv schedule?

@Stat Bro: I am not sure why there is no "home" and "away" in the selection page. But the pattern is such that it displays Team X at Team Y. So, you are correct. Regarding the slowness to save the pick, I am also having the same problem and I do not have control over that aspect. I have the same problems in College football picks as well. Lastly, I will upload picks for more week this weekend. I dont think why you would not be able to make picks from Nepal, it should be fine ( I dont guarantee it though, just my thought).
@Chaurey Bro: I dont think emailing picks would help coz you are supposed to make picks under your username and I cannot make picks for other users.
