 im pretty sure everyone who commented before me is from hills...im from plains...now listen my arguments...i support this decision...you guys should also try to respect our feelings...now first of all, anyone who says first focus on development and creating jobs and all..listen, that would follow after they establish peace and security of the citizens..thats what the constitution assembly...you guys also ask for constitution ASAP..these are the things which are gonna be included in that...so theres nothing wrong if they are taking decisions on these issues right now..

about the "national" dress...how come a dress that i never ever wore in my life is my national dress...how come a dress that nobody wears in a radius of 500 miles from where im from is my national dress..a bird thats never seen in the skies above us is my national bird?? a flower that you will never find in my region..is my national flower??? a language that i would never have learnt if i didnt need that for official works is my national language?? where are we represented in all these "national" stuff?? you count us as citizens of this nations too, right??

now see...i dont have any problem with the national anthem..coz it includes everyone...mechi to mahakali..terai to himal...thats the way it should be...

you dont need a national of everything....if you think you do..choose something that represents all the nepali people...like for a sport..choices are easy coz there are sports which most of us play..but for something like a  dress, bird, language..how are you gonna choose that...however, i do feel that there should be a language thats used all over the country..but call it official language..dont call it national...

You know what, although I am from himal, I have never seen danphe, laligurans in my life (except for picture). I have never worn daura suruwal and my mother language is not Nepali. We don't have cows where I come from. Cows are mostly found in Terai and Pahadh. But, I don't want to reject them as rastria panchi, rastria phool, rastriya poshak, rastriya bhasa and rastriya janawar. You know why, because I see Nepal as a whole of Himal, pahad and madesh. The problem with you people from terai is that you don't want to accept that Himal, pahad and madesh makes Nepal. You call danphe, laligurans pahadi? If you think you are a Nepali why would you say so and so is pahadi? Isn't pahad a part of your country? You ask whether we count you as citizen of this nation. But, I think it's you who don't want to be counted as a Nepali.

i always visit sajha and hadnt been commenting on the stuffs. but because of this stupid guy ABODHBALAK i was coerced to retrieve my password and get logged in .
Yes ABODHBALAK, how dare you? do you even know what the f you are talking about. I am not the damn baun. i belong to one of the minority. yes me and my dad have never worn daura surwal in me for sure most probaly my dad too (havent seen yet ) wearing daurasuruwal. My granddad even though was not baun used to wear daura suruwal and most of the day i saw him was in daurasuruwal. he was an average nepali with no education watever. but he used to wear daura suruwal coz he is nepali. he was born nepali that the only way to dress he knew in his entire life. my point is daura suruwal is not what baun or certain people wear. It is what nepali wears. it is a pride. There are other dresses like [Disallowed String for - castist reference] gurung and blah blah. when we see people dressed in [Disallowed String for - castist reference] or gurung dress we see oh he is [Disallowed String for - castist reference], oh he is gurung but when we see someone dressed in daurasuruwal we say he is nepali. our national symbol, dress, flower, ...... are our pride. dont lie to yourself when you say my national flower .... my national .... is this and that you feel proud. but when you have to say someone that oh you guys have national so and so and we dont have that thats a shame broda. please wake up.
My personal experience when i went to nepal last time and i bought daurasuruwal for both me and my father i felt really proud. thats what the nationality does.

well daura-surwal comes from the times of PN shah and malla kings.It was the warrior costume  in whole himalayan range modified from the rajastani chola.But thenafter it became nepali .the gorkhali fauj wore it  and does still today.So the ones in terai/madhes dont feel any association with it.It has actually nothing to do with [Disallowed String for - castist reference]s except the fact that nowadays most govt officials and politicans wear daura surwal.
Yes this dress was "incouraged" by mahendra but the dress itself predates even the united nepal under the shahs.

Abodhbalak-- tapai ko wari pari ma ta dhoti kurta lagauchan hola ra as someone pointed out you must have moved to Nepal from Bihar within the last 50 years to have this kind of attitude towards our national dress.

if you guys think region doesnt matter, and one its right for people of one single region to impose all their culture on another region then let me ask you something...how would you feel if they announce dhoti kurta as the national dress?? how many of you guys will feel proud about that?? no, you wont...coz you wont be able to associate with it..now dont come telling me its not nepali dress coz even you know the history behind daura suruwal..
one more thing, if you wanna discuss...mind your language...dont show your level here..
and, why so much hate if our ancestors were from bihar?? whats wrong with bihar?? have you guys ever been there?? its much more developed and secure and managed than our whole country...what would you ignorants know..anyways...its not like your ancestors came up from the ground in tudikhel..if you go baaaack in the past..you will know where they came from....
