Monthly Income (After Tax)------> ($1100*2)= $ 2200
=============================================
Expenses::

Rent-----------------------------------> - $550
Car Payment------------------------> - $300
Insurance----------------------------> - $75
Food/Grocery------------------------> - $200
Gas-------------------------------------> - $100
Miscellaneous-----------------------> - $100

Total Expenses (Montly)------------> $ 1,325

Total Savings (Monthly)========> $ 875
or NRs. 63,000 per month.

 First of all, your car payment is high for the income you are earning. So unless you get that paid off, it will be a significant dent on your savings.

Second of all, if you are single, maybe you should get an apartment with a roommate bumping your rent down leading to an additional $200 (x70 = NRS 14,000/month, i.e. NRS. 1,68,000 a year). Insurance is pretty cheap, and other expenses seem pretty standard (even conservative).

Your main problem (based on your apparent target for savings--essentially trying to buy a house in Nepal) is the income you are bringing in. Without maybe a second part-time job which entirely goes into savings, or a change of job that increases your overall income, you won't be able to save as much as your target goal is.

5 to 10 years after graduation, you too will be making similar amount.  Don't worry.

Income:

Take home pay: $6500

Expenses:

Mortgage + home insurance + property tax: $2450
Utilities (gas, electricity, water): $350
Cable TV + Internet: $95
Cell phone: $75
Groceries: $500
Gas (2 vehicles, already fully paid): $130
Insurance for both vehicles: $100
Dining and Entertainment, includes Netflix: $500
Clothing and misc. shopping: $200
Additional misc. expenses: $600
Send to Nepal: $500
Allocation for vacation: $700
Charitable givings: $300

Total expenses: $6500 (give or take few hundred, but averages to this).

Savings: $0 (well, not counting the 401K that I max out every year).

Come to think of, I could probably save more with half the salary working in Kathmandu, eh?
