English team have finest players who plays from reputed clubs of premiere league but national team always lacks group work. Hopefully they will show good performance this time.

England has no chance what so ever in my opinion. They have too many injuries and their coach believes in not conceding rather than attacking the opposition. Spain, Netherlands or Germany will take it all. Go Spain !!!

Goddamn, no you are not the only one for Portugal... I am for them as well... They are going to take the cup home. But during their practice match against Turkey, they did not play well.

I think according to strength Group of death is actually Spain, Italy, Croatia and Ireland. However, group of Germany has three former winners and portugal. So it can be named as well.
But according to relative strength here is the ranking of the team,
1. Spain is by far the best team but by missing their star striker David Vailla and some good defender like phuyol are not as good as many thinks. Star players mata , torres, llorente
2. Germany is second best team, and by far the most fit and young. They have star striker like Mario Gomez. Players like Mirsolav Klose is still raining goals at the age of 34. Other great players are Swinestiger and Muller.
3. Netherlands comes at thrid. With players like robben, snider, van persie, huntelaar ...goal is never far off. But their problem is defence. They will score few goals but opposition will too.
4. France is fourth. They are a good team and by far the best team in the group of England. Star players are Ribbery, Malouda, Benzema , ben arfa and Nasari . They are force to be reckoned with .
5. Italy are in deep trouble. But hey they were in trouble in 2006 when they won world cup. But with this team there is plenty of controversy of match fixing to not having good team ethics. Recently they lost to teams like Russia 3-0. Star players Balotelli, cassano, de natalie
6. England have a chance. If greece can win in 2004 then defintiely england can as well. Roy Hodson has same defensive ethics in team. But rooney is missing for first two match (not that he has set international matches on fire before). Caroll, welbeck, young all are young. So difficult to see them winning. But you never know with young players. Just have a look at Germany in 2010 world cup.
7. Don't take sweden lightly. With Ibrahimovic they have a striker to envy with. I think one of England or France might have to give way for Swenden.
8. Portugal and Russia, croatia. ......Russia are the dark Horses. And this time around no punters are taking Portugal seriously. But they have some great players.
