Sajha.com is not only about fun and games. We can also make an impact for a good cause. Dil Shova's selfless service to the elderly has been applauded many times by sajha members and it is indeed a great cause to support.

Many destitute and the elderly with no support have found a home in Dil Shova's house. They have found a daughter and mother in Dil Shova's heart and her home. Dil Shova takes it as her responsibility to feed them, do their laundry, take care of their basic needs, medical attention/doctor visits, and everything in between to ease their lives.

Any support that we can give her goes on to increase her ability to help more people and to help do a better job.

Please open your "दिल" and make a contribution. This will be a contribution from the combined sajha heart.

Living abroad, we wish we could do something for Nepal. There are a lot of causes to choose from. Every other cause is as deserving as the rest but what sets this apart is that this is about the old and helpless. There aren't too many causes for them. Let us take this opportunity to support a woman whose Elegance is her Heart. Whose virtue lies in helping out the destitute elderly people who have no support in their frail old age.

Please take a moment to visit the donation page to make a contribution.

When we see a homeless person lying helplessly in the street we wish we could do something but we don't do anything. When someone like Dil Shova actually takes destitute old people from the street to her own home to care for them, to provide food, shelter and medical care for them, all we can do is be amazed at the size of her heart and her strength to do something that we could never do.

Let's help and support her. The cost of one drink goes a long way in helping this cause.

It is encouraging to see the support pouring in and I wanted to thank everyone for coming together for this cause. Thesedays many of us are at a saturation point as far as people promoting various things in facebook and sajha. We are saturated with excessive personal promotion of events and voting for personal benefits. Hence it is easy to overlook a good cause such as the fundraiser for Dilshova Shrestha's Aama Ko Ghar.

This fundraiser is not about me. It's not about sajha. This fundraiser has been created because of continued appreciation towards Dilshova by common Nepalis as seen by postings from common sajha users from 2009 to this date.

The goal of $6000 and the end date of August 31 was selected in order to give it a concrete goal. If we reach the goal before the given date, we do not have to stop the fundraiser. It will just show that for a valid cause, Nepalis are not shy to open their hearts and wallets, no matter what kind of situation they are in. The fundraiser can continue even after $6000 is reached and even after 8/31 if people think it is a cause worth supporting on a periodic basis.

Thanks once again for opening your hearts and your wallets! Please don't forget to share/like to get more exposure.

I expect to pass through life but once.  If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.  ~William Penn

Great job guys, lets keep it rolling. Lets not stop this fund raising program from sajha.com so that if somebody wants to help they can keep contributing in the future. Lets not make it just one or two time deal.

Thanks SAN DAI for initiating and promoting this cause. The legal official website for AMMA GAAR will be up soon (2-3 weeks). The website should help us to  be more organized and transparent. PLEASE LET’S NOT MAKE THIS ONE TIME DEAL. Let’s keep aside certain amount every month to help AMMA GAAR. The amount can be $5 which you pay for your Marlboro or $25 which you pay as a cover charge in strip club or more which you might pay for some fine Ass. Let’s make a small contribution for BIGGER change, BIGGER cause and BIGGER impact.

Update: As pointed out by Shas Wat  there is another fundraiser going on for DilShova

It is good to see that more and more people are interested in helping out her good cause. In fact it is a great accomplishment for DilShova to have different individuals/organizations competing to raise more money for her cause!

I wouldn't have minded joining forces with the other fundraiser for this cause but the only reason I decided to start the sajha fundraiser separately was because the 'gofundme' fundraiser deducts 5% from each donation (potentially they may add 2.9% more if organizer is using paypal account in conjunction with gofundme) while the sajha fundraiser via 'wepay' only deducts 3.5% from each donation.

Paypal would have been cheaper at 2.9% but I have personally known of many people having their accounts frozen by paypal for what was deemed 'illegitimate' fundraising.

In any case, I figured it would be good to share this information to the esteemed sajha visitors.

Please feel free to donate to either or both causes! ie the gofundme fundraiser at http://www.gofundme.com/aamaghar

or the sajha fundraiser via wePay at https://www.wepay.com/donations/the-dil-fund

Please watch the older video from 2009 if you haven't already.

San Bro,

Is it possible to designate the first batch of moeny collected for certain work. For eg, lets dedicate the first 6K for the Loan she owes to the bank. I think in the interview she said the bank was harrasing her for the remaining 5 lakhs of loan.

After that we can do a monthly collection each month with certain goals for eg: blankets for the winter, or laptops for the kids, or the groceries for the month.

You can have a thread at the top for Dilshova each month and we all can participate on how the next months donations should be spent. It would be great if the donors could be updated with a feedback on how the money has been spent. May be our Sajha friends (visitors) from Nepal can help us get that update with pictures and videos.

Lets do this as a monthly thing where we donate what we want each month without any pressure and each month we send her money on what is being donated.

I have never been impressed with the charities back home as there are so many dishonest people making this a business of their personal gain. But Dilshova seems very honest and humble and has proved that she has sacrificed everything of her own. I am trusting her with my charity.

The money generated probably will go for loan payment. What I am doing in last few years is once a year Party for them. It costs approx 300$.Catering ppl will do everything. You just have to make sure that quality food is served, not too much greesy food. We just need 52 ppl contributing like this so that they can have party every week. If you guys can do that for  "your birth day" parrents birth day"  or "baau/ama/bajey, bajai  ko saradhey". Any way, that is what I am doing. PPl can help them different way.

Items

1. Rice and nan
2. Dal,
3. Tarkari (two items)
4. Achar
5. Sweets
6. Cold drinks (in Summer)
